CHSSA Team Camp

Here is a recap of the Chsaa team camp event from Iona Prep. Many college programs were in attendance.

Orlando Wallace Orlando Wallace 6'9" | PF Iona Prep | 2022 NY .   6”9.    2022.   Iona Prep

Runs the floor well. Rebounds in traffic. A rim protector. Scores around the rim with either hand. 

R J Green.             6”5.     2022.     Iona Prep

One of the most viewed players at this event. He is on many college radars. Explosive first step. Extremely athletic. Strong and tenacious going to the basket. Has expanded his range is a threat from every spot on the floor.

Jason Rivera.      6”6.   2023.      Iona Prep.

A big guard. Very capable of playing either guard position. With his size, he is a tough matchup when he’s at the point. Excellent court vision. An outstanding rebounder from the guard spot. Can rebound it and lead the break. Another player who had a huge college coach following.

Kyle Marshall Kyle Marshall 6'1" | CG St. Dominic | 2022 State NY .     5”9.   2022.   Mount St. Michael

A feisty in-your-pocket defender. Exceptional mid-range game. Tremendous on the break. Showed a deadly pull-up from both elbows. Once on the break and once in a half-court set. His passes make the difficult play look easy. Seems to always find the right player in a position to score.

Ahmir Moore Ahmir Moore 6'1" | CG St Raymond | 2023 State NY      6”6.     2023.   Mount St. Michael

An athletic player with a lot of potential. At times he can look like the best player on the court. Tremendous athlete. Outstanding rebounder. Uses his body to create space for himself. Can score inside and out.  A raw player who is still learning tremendous upside.

Omari Ward Omari Ward 5'11" | PG Fordham Prep | 2022 State NY .   6”5.    2022.   Mount St. Michael

A hot commodity at this event. A very good defender. Terrific passer. Rebounds in traffic. A scoring threat from many different spots. Uses his athleticism to drive the ball but also can drill the three off of his dribble. A tremendous talent.

Kelvin Collado.    6”5.   2023.    Mount St. Michael

An athletic big. Extremely strong rebounder.  Solid defender. Showed the ability to score around the rim. 

Isaiah Philbert.      6”0.   2022.     St. Rays

All the coaches come knowing the big names. But the best part of these events is when a less publicized player shines. That is what Isaiah did. Against Molloy, he drained 3 threes from deep range. When they guarded him close he was able to go around and show off a pull-up jumper.
