2022: Forwards – Who Needs More Recruitment ?

Prep Hoops continues with its coverage from the 2022 Palmetto State right here. Who are some Forwards that could use some more recruitment ? Lets checkout some names right here outside the Top 20. 

Isaiah Williams Isaiah Williams 6'6" | PF Blythewood | 2022 State SC – Blythewood HS (pictured on front) 

Isaiah brings good versatility to the floor for Bengals Head Coach Zeke Washington. Williams a left-handed forward does a good job around the paint and running the floor in transition. Isaiah can stalk the baseline at times or post-up with his back to the basket. Williams a nice 2nd-3rd man on this roster behind Julian Phillips Julian Phillips 6'8" | SF Link Academy | 2022 #19 Nation MO . Williams runs with Upward Stars Columbia. 

Bessanty Saragba Bessanty Saragba 6'9" | PF Trinity Collegiate | 2022 State SC – Trinity Collegiate (Darlington) 

Saragba is more polished on the defensive end of the floor. Bessanty keeps the ball up after getting off the glass and understands how to work for position down low. Bessanty can face-up for a short corner jumper at times. Saragba plays on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars Southeast 2022. 

Jacob Brown Jacob Brown 6'5" | PF Travelers Rest | 2022 State SC – Travelers Rest HS 

Brown plays bigger than his size down in the paint. Jacob has good versatility to put the ball on the deck – bring it up the floor at times in transition. Brown is a exceptional passer from the high post and just really understands on how to box-out and seal. Jacob will be a heck of a get for somebody down the road – DON’T let the size scare you. Brown really helps your team WIN games. Brown averaged 12.3 ppg and 10.2 rebounds last season for the Devildogs (18-4). Jacob has been on the varsity basketball since the 7th grade – 5 years entering his senior season. 

EJ Huffman EJ Huffman 6'5" | PF Conway | 2022 State SC – Conway HS 

EJ has looked like he has ate a small child in the past year (adding weight and to muscle to his frame). Huffman played well recently for Big Shots SC Select. Huffman is similar to Brown – who really need to appreciate them for what they can deliver on the floor which is PRODUCTION. EJ plays bigger than his size and just brings good toughness to the floor with his willingness to rebound through traffic. 

Josh Linder Josh Linder 6'8" | PF Spartanburg | 2022 State SC – Spartanburg HS 

Linder has had a tremendous spring and summer for the Vikings and Big Shots. Linder a left-handed rangy forward can alter and challenge on the defensive end with his quick leaping ability. Linder has picked up several offers from NCAA D2 ranks this summer with his play. Josh still must get stronger and work on his offensive game for the next level. 

Jimeion Brown Jimeion Brown 6'8" | PF York Prep | 2022 State SC – York Prep (Rock Hill) 

Brown is a very spring and bouncy forward for the Patriots. Brown started off his career at Lancaster HS before coming over to the Patriots last year. Jimeion runs on the Grassroots Circuit with 1-Carolina. Jimeion still must get stronger down the road but does a good job of gliding around the floor with his versatility.
