Continue ReadingThe class of 2021 in the great state of Idaho included a lot of high level basketball talent that impressed me a lot throughout the entire duration of the season. A lot of great players were able to show their skills and abilities on the court which allowed them to sign letters of intent to play at the college level. While a lot of schools had to play much different schedules than they usually would, players were able to find their own way to show that they could play at a high level. Continue reading for a look at some of the recent college commitments from the class of 2021 in the state of Idaho.
Lukas Broadsword Lukas Broadsword 6'6" | PF Centennial | 2021 State ID , Kalamazoo College: Lukas will be taking his talents to the far-off land of Michigan for the upcoming season as he begins his college career. During his prep career, Lukas was a dominant force in the paint for the Centennial Patriots and he routinely led the Patriots in scoring and rebounding during a tough season. Broadsword is strong in the paint and finishes well around the rim with both hands and can also rebound well on both ends of the floor. Lukas will look to expand his shooting range this summer to make him a stretch-4 threat at the next level. Watch for Lukas to have a great career for a solid program in the Midwest.
Joe Schulkins Joe Schulkins 5'11" | PG Columbia | 2021 State ID , Southwestern Oregon Community College: Joe has decided to play his first two years of college basketball over on the Oregon coast. Joe had a really solid senior season for the Columbia Wildcats and made an all around impact on their success. Schulkins is a shifty guard who can use his handles to get him anywhere on the court. From there, he can score in a variety of ways or find passing lanes to give his teammates the opportunity to score. Joe will make an immediate impact at the next level. These next two seasons will provide an excellent opportunity for Joe to improve and develop his game before heading out to make a big impact for the four-year school of his choosing.
