As Coach Rick Rasmussen accurately stated before the game, Brodie Scott is a double-double machine. The red-head is athletic at the rim. He’s able to score inside and can go up and snatch rebounds with his sneaky springs. Scott is capable of putting the ball on the floor and attacking from the perimeter. He could be a sneaky good get for D-III schools.
2022 6-1 G Cole Kelly – North Oconee
Cole Kelly’s three-point shot to send North Oconee to overtime against Stephens County was a thing of beauty. He’s got ice water in his veins. Kelly is a dangerous three-point shooter and a solid on-ball defender that uses his strength to bother smaller guards.
2022 6-3 G Josiah Hayes – Winder-Barrow
Josiah Hayes was one of the best shooters off the dribble at camp. He’s got some creativity on the perimeter and has a knack for getting to his spots. Hayes is a threat from the mid-range and three-point line. His outside shooting pairs well with Tim Loud and Jeremiah Holloway.
2023 6-0 G Trevor Oechsle – Oconee County
Part of Oconee County’s efficient three-point shooting offense, Trevor Oechsle balanced his scoring in a variety of ways. He burned the defense when left open from the three-point line, but also was tough enough to beat his man off the dribble when run off the line and score at the rim. Oechsle utilized a nice mid-range jumper.
2022 5-11 PG Jack Lonnee – Oconee County
Somewhat of an unsung hero for the Warriors, Jack Lonnee plays a major role for Oconee. Of course he is a quality shooter, but it’s his playmaking that really lubricates the offense. He’s a smart passer that can look off defenders and hit open shooters dispersed around the perimeter. Jack can also sneak in for offensive rebounds and putbacks. He does a little bit of everything for Coach Thad Burgess.
