Davin Cosby Goes Off
In a losing effort, 2022 Davin Cosby did everything he could to help John Marshall secure a win over St. John’s at DC Live on Friday. Finishing with 27 points, including 21 from three, Cosby was the top offensive performer I saw at Maret. Expect for Cosby to get an uptick in his recruitment after his breakout performance on the opening day of the live period.
Shane Lancaster Shane Lancaster 6'4" | CG St. John's | 2022 State MD Shows Improvement
It has taken some time over the past couple of seasons for Lancaster but he has found his groove for the Cadets and has turned into a very important piece for Pat Behan. With Lancaster you always know you are going to get toughness and a hard playing guard that will do whatever it takes for his team to win but now we are seeing him start to fill the stat sheet up. In an overtime win over John Marshall, Lancaster finished with 15 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Loyola (MD) offered Lancaster after his outing.
Quinn Clark Quinn Clark 6'6" | PF Gonzaga | 2022 State MD Intrigues
Over the last year and a half Gonzaga has lost some star power in the post but 2022 Quinn Clark Quinn Clark 6'6" | PF Gonzaga | 2022 State MD is looking to replace some of those guys with his presence around the rim and he showed he is more than capable of doing that on Saturday helping Gonzaga secure a win over Coolidge. Clark was constntly attacking the rim and getting to his spots finishing with 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Future Bright For Jalen Rougier-Roane
Roane was a new find for me during my time at DC Live on Friday as the freshman was super productive for Sidwell Friends. A 6’4 shooting guard, Roane has good size and a good feel for the game and is an intriguing prospect to monitor in the years to come for Sidwell Friends.
Lots Of Depth For St. John’s
The depth for a team is always important for a strong team in the WCAC and the Cadets have that. Last night in their overtime win over Coolidge, Pat Behan threw 11 guys out onto the floor and that doesn’t include two of their top guards who are battling injuries right now. College coaches should be flooding the Cadets games this upcoming season.
