Team Red
Brock Vice (Houston) – Brock was surprisingly light on his feet in my first evaluation of him. His ability to handle the ball was also stunning at 6-foot-10. Facing David Craig David Craig 7'1" | C McCallie | 2022 State TN , there was clearly some ambition to attack from 12+ feet out. It is interesting that Brock apparently prefers the face-up and drive game. It will be intriguing to see how he materializes in the next year. Previous teammates Mason Miller Mason Miller 6'9" | SF Houston | 2021 State #92 Nation TN and Zander Yates Zander Yates 6'8" | SF Houston | 2021 State TN signed with Creighton with similar ideals.
Elijah Bredwood Elijah Bredwood 6'1" | SG Bearden | 2022 State TN (Bearden) – Wow! Elijah played early within a deep Bearden program, which is difficult to earn. Bredwood was a volume scorer from the time he hit the court, back as an underclassman, and still now. He reminds of a Louis Williams. Extremely athletic. Scores with explosion and guile combined. Bredwood lulled his man to sleep and surged into the lane like a running back hitting the hole, only to rise above the rim, clanking it off in dramatic fashion. Bredwood is a really exciting combo threat. Used a ball screen expertly.
Evan Eursher Evan Eursher 6'2" | PG Webb-Bell Buckle | 2022 State #244 Nation TN (Webb-Bell Buckle) – Evan was again fantastic. Eursher earned the medallion of go-to scorer for Team Red. After forcing a shot, a fading floater, Eursher took a more certain and calm three-pointer on the following push. He made the second. Eursher was so clever with the ball in transition. Noticing a double coming, he drug his defender towards the double and essentially ran him into the trapper. Because the trapper was coming to the double his “side” was clearly less guarded and Eursher used his momentum running away from his man and into the double to blaze past the trapper. EE finished with a scoop left-handed layup. So casual. On the ensuing possession, Eursher put a quick cross on AAU-teammate Trent McNair Trent McNair 6'4" | SG Brentwood Academy | 2022 State TN . McNair backed off just a half-step, but Eursher needed less to rise up and make an uncontested top-of-the-key three-pointer. The scoring versality was silly.
Hayden Ledbetter Hayden Ledbetter 5'10" | PG Lausanne | 2022 State TN (Lausanne) –
Isaiah Davis Isaiah Davis 6'7" | PF Nashville Christian | 2022 State TN (Brentwood Academy) – Played alongside Brock Vice in a dream lineup. As a compliment to Vice, Davis was allowed him to play his more natural 3/4.
Trey Morrow Trey Morrow 6'3" | SG Scott Co Tn | 2022 State TN (Brentwood Academy) –
Andre McClellan Andre McClellan 6'1" | PG Columbia Academy | 2024 State TN (Brentwood Academy) –
Ahmad Nowell (Houston) –

Team Columbia
Isaiah Regular (Memphis Overton)
Josh Holloway Josh Holloway 5'10" | PG Oak Hill | 2023 VA – Holloway will always be the smallest or among the smallest players on every court he steps on. Saturday, Holloway brought cleverness and poise. He casually, perhaps obviously, pushed a mass of defenders down three feet on the weakside, anticipating the ball rotation. Perhaps because they were bigger players the officials didn’t even notice, but when the ball did rotate Holloway’s team had plenty of room around the arc to operate and consider a shot. After he got past the first level, on another possession, Holloway slowed down with his man on his back now. It gave him more time to peruse and consider options while still eliminating one defender from his picture. Holloway did not play above the rim, but certainly can get off the deck and authoritatively score. He must get stronger to maximize his chances in the lane. Defenders will only get bigger as he ascends the basketball ladder.
Kristian Spencer Kristian Spencer 6'2" | SG Whitehaven | 2022 State TN (Whitehaven)
Trent McNair Trent McNair 6'4" | SG Brentwood Academy | 2022 State TN (Brentwood Academy)
Lukas Walls Lukas Walls 6'4" | SG Knoxville Webb | 2023 State TN (Knox Webb) – Camp settings can be tricky for some players to shine. Lukas did not command the ball enough, but more problematic his teammates did not get him the ball. You will see a lot of me-first ball at showcase events and Walls is accustomed to a Knox Webb system that keeps everyone involved. Floor spacing is huge for Webb and Walls found himself watching too often simply because his teammates did not include him. Walls is much better than he was able to display in the afternoon game versus Team Red.
Connor Martin Connor Martin 6'5" | SF Anderson County | 2022 State TN (Heritage) – A little stiff on defense. Connor got caught guarding Elijah Bredwood Elijah Bredwood 6'1" | SG Bearden | 2022 State TN when Team Columbia faced Team Red. It did not go well. Bredwood is an explosive guard and Martin is not capable of checking the speedier guards on the perimeter just yet. Martin’s strength remains catch-and-shoot.
Alex Hyder Alex Hyder 6'3" | SG Cleveland | 2023 State TN (Cleveland) –
Jaye Nash Jaye Nash 6'2" | PG McEachern | 2024 State GA (Briarcrest Christian) –
