For the third time in his high school career, Scotland Christian Academy Senior Guard Brodie Clark Brodie Clark 6'1" | CG Scotland Christian Academy | 2021 State NC led his team to a conference championship to finish the year out. Clark scored a game high of 28 Points and snatched down 6 Rebounds in the win.
Farmville Central has been one of the most dominating teams in the NCHSAA playoffs being led by Senior Guard Terquavion Smith Terquavion Smith 6'3" | CG Farmville Central | 2021 State #105 Nation NC & Forward Leontaye Moye. Smith has been a scoring machine all season long, going for 26 Points in his latest outing, while Moye has done the work inside the paint on both ends of the floor.
The Burlington School Senior Guard Jamarii Thomas Jamarii Thomas 6'1" | PG The Burlington School | 2021 State NC plays the game with a high amount of intensity which was on display from start to finish of their championship game. He uses his defense to create offense, scores in traffic and has good leadership qualities.
Liberty Christian Unsigned Senior Luke Edwards team came up short in their conference championship game but he gave it everything he had to help his team. Edwards scored a team high of 27 Points and dished out 8 Assist while shooting a nice percentage from the field.
The Burlington School Senior Forward Kuluel Mading Kuluel Mading 6'10" | C The Burlington School | 2021 State NC is one of the top unsigned prospects left in the state after reopening his recruitment. This weekend we saw some of the skills and upside that has college programs intrigued and excited to potentially land him. He blocked shots, finished above the rim, showcased some shooting ability and defended multiple positions fairly well.
Wilson Prep Unsigned Senior Wing Nasir Blackston is another talented prospect that’s left on the board and will be a nice pickup for a college program. He’s only gotten better as the season has gone on, leading his team deep into the playoffs with his scoring, rebounding and athletic ability.
West Carteret HS is another team that has been rolling through the playoffs, winning all of their games by at least 18 Points so far. Senior Guard Gavin Gillikin Gavin Gillikin 5'11" | CG West Carteret | 2021 State NC has stepped up as a senior leader for the team running the show while Junior Forward Jaxon Ellingsworth Jaxon Ellingsworth 6'8" | PF West Carteret | 2022 State NC has been outstanding, averaging 20 Points & 10 Rebounds on the year.
Asheville Christian took home the NCISAA Championship at the 3A level with a 74-68 win over Gaston Christian. Top ranked Class of 2022 Forward DeAnte Green DeAnte Green 6'10" | PF Asheville Christian | 2022 State #68 Nation NC got off to a nice start in the first quarter and made big plays throughout the game to help his team. Green recently trimmed down his list to: UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, VA Tech, Florida State and Tennessee.
