Sectional 15: Jeffersonville survives
In what was a battle of a game, Jeffersonville was able to survive a tough Bedford North Lawrence, 57-53. Bedford lead throughout most of the game, but Jeffersonville got on that run that eventually, the Stars just had no answers for. Jaylen Fairman Jaylen Fairman 5'11" | PG Jeffersontown | 2021 IN for Jeffersonville led the Red Devils in scoring with his 18 points while his teammate, Brandon Rayzer-Moore Brandon Rayzer-Moore 6'4" | SG Jeffersontown | 2020 IN , dropped 16 points. Other Jeffersonville top scorers were Kobe Stoudemire Kobe Stoudemire 5'9" | PG Jeffersonville | 2022 State IN with 11 and Will Lovings-Watts Will Lovings-Watts 6'5" | SF Jeffersonville | 2022 State IN with 10. On BNL’s side, the scoring was distributed from all over with Colton Staggs and Colten Leach with 13, Kooper Staley with 12, Jackson Miracle Jackson Miracle 6'5" | SF Bedford North Lawrence | 2021 State IN with 9, and Ben Cosner with 5. Bedford finishes the season 14-11 and just flat out fought until the very end. Jeffersonville will move on to face Bloomington South in Regionals.
Sectional 10: Lawrence North continues state title run
Lawrence North comes out the victor in the very tough Sectional 10 with a 62-49 win over North Central last night. Lawrence North had 3 players score in double digits with DJ Hughes DJ Hughes 6'8" | PF Lawrence North | 2021 State #219 Nation IN with 19 points (also 11 rebounds), Chris Gunn Chris Gunn 6'5" | SG Lawrence North | 2022 State #114 Nation IN with 16 points, and Shamar Avance Shamar Avance 6'1" | PG Lawrence North | 2021 State IN with 14 points. On the North Central side, Leland Brown led them with 12 points. Lawrence North was the odds on favorite to win Sectional 10, but it was a tough road for sure. They now continue their state championship aspirations but will face a tough Ben Davis team this Saturday at Regionals.
