Howell (W) vs. Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard
Carter Bandemer (2022, G, Howell)
Bandemer was a crafty scorer. He hit multiple 3 pointers and had a nice drive to the rim with a creative and under control finish. Bandemer had 12 points in the contest.
JD Dell (2021, F, Howell)
Dell showed the ability to hit cutters with an accurate bounce pass. He had a nice looking stroke, most notably on his triple from the corner.
August Johanningsmeier (2022, C, Howell)
Johanningsmeier seemed like he was all over the place. He caught a pass in traffic and got fouled, hit a tough put back 2, and pushed the ball in transition which drew another foul.
Reilly Boomer (2021, G, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Boomer played with and through contact, and he did it well. I counted 7 free throw attempts on the game. He also buried a 3 pointer.
Chris Chavey (2022, G/F, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Chavey has a nice balanced game. His movement off the ball gets him open and he a pretty dump off pass when crossing the lane with the ball.
Russell Schwartz (2022, F, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
He was a definite factor in the paint. Schwartz was a solid rim protector that was tough to score on in the paint. He caught passes high and kept them away from the D.
Iron Mountain (W) vs. Escanaba
Dante Basanese (2021, G, Iron Mountain)
Basanese played a perfect Robin to Wonders’ Batman. He had good shot selection and scored 15 very efficient points. That type of game by Basanese could go a long ways towards the teams’ ultimate goal.
Foster Wonders Foster Wonders 6'5" | SF Iron Mountain | 2021 State MI (2021, SF, Iron Mountain)
Wonders crossed the 2000 point plateau in this game. He scored in a variety of ways, including a contested 3, put backs, free throws, and finishes at the rim. Wonders showed a nose for the ball off the glass and a soft touch on the ball around the rim. I was impressed with how he saw the entire court and hit teammates with pin point passes.
Carter Hudson Carter Hudson 6'7" | PF Escanaba | 2021 State MI (2021, C, Escanaba)
This might have been the best all around performance that I’ve seen from Hudson. He was active on the offensive glass which created opportunities for him to score. Hudson was able to draw contact and get to the free throw line. He had a really nice move where he spun over his left shoulder and dropped the ball in for 2.
Erik Victorson (2021, G, Escanaba)
In a big game, Victorson definitely wasn’t scared of the moment. He played the entire length of the floor and was aggressive defensively. Victorson hustled down the court on offense for lay in buckets.
