Here were some of the varsity standouts of the game:

McClintock
Pascal Volz Pascal Volz 6'1" | CG McClintock | 2022 State AZ McClintock (13 pts 6 rebs 2 asts)
-A highly skilled combo guard who grew about an inch. He has a consistent pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3pt line and is very smart and savvy. He has the catch-3 and he changes speeds and hesitates to freeze the defense and then will get into the lane. He scores it on layups inside and he rebounds well for a guard plus is still a very good passer.
Jaylen Wesley Jaylen Wesley 6'4" | PF McClintock | 2022 State AZ McClintock (12 pts 10 rebs 2 asts 2 stls 3 blks)
-A beast inside the paint is nearly impossible to keep off the glass. He has huge hands long arms and a big time motor. He can rip through with a nice handle for position and is sneaky quick on defense to collect steals and will block shots with his physicality.
Davion Butler Davion Butler 5'10" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2023 State AZ McClintock (Pictured) (13 pts 3 rebs 2 asts 5 stls)
-The undersized PG is the reason the Chargers have won 5 straight. He puts everyone else into their proper roles and literally directs the offense as he barks out where to go on offense. He is a natural leader and he is fearless. He takes it right into the lane and scores it through contact. He can make the 3 with range and his defense changed this game. He picks the pockets of the opposing guards and helps on the bigs and rips them too. He has runaway speed with the ball in the open court and is also a smart passer.
Erenzo Scroggins Erenzo Scroggins 6'4" | SF AZ Compass Prep Black | 2023 State AZ McClintock (9 pts 5 rebs 2 asts)
-An athletic wing with real strength. He can hit the 3 with some consistency plus rip through and score it through contact. He does a lot of work inside but he finds match-ups to exploit. He is a decent passer and a good rebounder in area using his length, body and muscle.
Jacoby Brown Jacoby Brown 6'1" | SG Inspire Prep | 2024 State AZ McClintock (5 pts 2 rebs 3 asts)
-My first time viewing the soph and I came away impressed. He has long arms and a thicker build. He can shoot the 3 plus get into the lane and hit the floater. He had 3 assists but one was incredible as he threaded the needle in between traffic for a bucket. He will have a bigger role next season but comes off the bench this year and makes an imprint on the game.
Arcadia
Kieran Carr Kieran Carr 6'4" | CG Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2022 State AZ Arcadia (16 pts 3 rebs 2 asts 1 stl)
-Another breakout candidate for 5A is Carr. He has an easy stroke from the 3pt line with an ultra quick trigger. He is playing with big confidence and he can drive the lane plus can make plays for others. Once he gets into the lane he can use the floater or score it with the euro step.
Max Majerle Max Majerle 6'4" | SF Arcadia | 2021 State AZ Arcadia (8 pts 6 rebs 2 stls 1 blk)
-An athletic wing has a good motor to rebound and loves to attack the rim to score it. He is mostly downhill but is a capable perimeter shooter. He had an amazing block from the weak side and made some nice passes to teammates. He collects steals and is a stud on the break who plays above the rim.
Nate Parras Nate Parras 6'7" | PF Eduprize | 2024 State AZ Arcadia (4 pts 2 rebs 2 blks)
-A face-up forward with some springs. He is a very good shot blocker and looks like he grew one inch. He can score it near the rim or get fouled and runs the floor like a wing. He shows good future upside and I am assuming the Titans will feature him the next two seasons.
Ethan Faas Ethan Faas 6'5" | PF Arcadia | 2023 State AZ Arcadia (8 pts)
-A sturdy framed 4-man has a pretty looking stroke. The lefty is very comfortable hitting the 3 and uses his strength to rebound in his area. Faas and Parras are definitely good pieces for the Titans future.
