Despite playing less than 10 games this season, these players have been playing well to make up for lost time.
Demarion Shanklin Demarion Shanklin 6'2" | SG Jennings | 2021 State MO 6’2 Jennings: The 2021 lefty is one of the most impressive shooting guards in the St. Louis area. He is smooth and he is able to get to his spots to knock down pull up jumpers and get into the lane. He is also a nice 3-point shooter as he makes 39 percent of his attempts from distance. He is currently averaging 24 points, three rebounds and three assists in eight games. In his last three games, he has scored 31, 24 and 25 points. He can really score.
Jai Graham Jai Graham 6'5" | SF Hazelwood Central | 2021 State MO 6’5 Hazelwood Central: A versatile 2021 wing player who is big enough to play inside with his size and skilled enough to excel on the perimeter. In eight games, he is averaging 14 points and nearly seven rebounds a game as the Hawks have won four of their last five games. In his last two games, he had 17 points, nine rebounds and five steals against Kirkwood and 19 points and 11 rebounds against Lutheran North; both Hawks victories.
Karl Moore Karl Moore 6'4" | SF Jennings | 2021 State MO 6’5″ Jennings: The physical 2021 forward is a walking double-double threat with his strength and athletic ability. He remains one of the top shot-blocking threats in St. Louis at four swats a game. He has excellent length and a quick jump to get to shots without fouling. He is currently averaging 13.7 points and nine rebounds in the Warriors’ eight games.
Quentin Hall Quentin Hall 6'6" | PF McCluer North | 2021 State MO 6’6″ McCluer North: A solid 2021 power forward who does a nice job around the basket as a scorer and rebounder. He has good length and he will rebound out of his area. He is also very mobile and he likes to go on rim-runs. In his team’s first two victories, he is averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds a game.
Tevin Gowins Tevin Gowins 5'9" | PG Hazelwood Central | 2022 State MO 5’9″ Hazelwood Central: The 2022 junior point guard is the consummate floor general who plays the position in an old school manner in which he looks to serve his teammates first. He’s quick and he runs the show while playing excellent on ball defense. He is averaging a team-high five assists and three steals for the Hawks. In a big victory over Kirkwood this week, he had eight points, nine assists and six steals in a tremendous all-around floor game.
Jamez Richardson 6’4″ Hazelwood East: A rock-solid 2021 power forward who plays a blue-collar game and has been very productive. He had 15 points and 22 rebounds in a victory over Lutheran North last week. He is strong and he plays with a big motor at both ends. He is currently averaging 13.8 points and 8.5 rebounds a game for the Spartans.
