The playoffs are here, and this was the first day of games in District 12. The nice part about the District Tournament is that you can lose a game and still make the Region Tournament. Coming into this game South Prairie had a 7-9 record. MLS had an 11-8 record before the game. When they played earlier in the year MLS won by a score of 51-48.

1. Lucas Undlin Lucas Undlin 6'1" | SG Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood | 2021 State ND (2021) |6-2 G| Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood – He scored his 1,000-career point tonight. Lucas needed 14 point to hit it, and he scored 17 in the game. He scored the first basket of the game and led all scorers tonight. Lucas has an excellent spin move that he used multiple times tonight for baskets. I liked the way he cut against the zone. Lucas has a great shot-fake that he sells wells with his eyes. He had a nice basket off a BLOB where he made a 15-foot jumper with a kiss off the glass. Lucas showed off how athletic he is with an over-the-shoulder catch in transition that led to an easy layup.
2. Lance Pitner (2022) |6-0 G| South Prairie – He had the first basket of the game for the Royals. Lance is a slasher that it good at getting into the lane. He had multiple difficult finishes in this game. His best basket of the game came in the 4th Lance had an “AND 1” finish that showed his resilience and concentration.

3. Steele Olson (2022) |5-11 G| Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood – He is a nice athlete that moves well. Steele is a solid defender that blocks shots. There were a few 3’s made in this game and Steele made one of them from the right-wing. I like how he moves without the ball.
4. Micah Bagwell (2021) |6-1 F| South Prairie – 10-points in the game. He plays with a good flow. Micah has a nice mid-range jumper. I like his aggressiveness and ability to play through contact.
5. Joseph Savelkoul (2022) |5-10 G| Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood – He had multiple penetrate and finish baskets tonight. I like his balance and body control. Joseph hit one of the few 3’s in the game in the 4th
6. Lane Pitner (2021) |5-9 G| South Prairie – He had a great finish through contact. Lane had another tough shot on the baseline with a hand in his face. I like the fact that he took a charge on defense.
7. Jacob Undlin (2022) |6-4 F| Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood – He had a nice attack to the front of the rim that he finished effortlessly. Jacob has great eyes, he passed it well against the zone. Jacob is a creative cutter that resulted in easy points. He is a nice player with a high ceiling.
8. James Santos (2021) |5-9 G| Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood – He is a nice athlete who is quick in transition. I like his effort on the O-glass. James is an anticipator on defense that leads to turnovers.Â
