DJ Nix DJ Nix 6'7" | SF Cannon | 2022 State #211 Nation NC from No. 12 to No. 4
Nix is one notable stock riser at Cannon School with a knack for making plays for himself and others on the floor. He’s a prospect who’s back in the Top 10 after making waves at the lead guard spot for the Cougars. He posted 14 points, four rebounds and three assists in their victory over Charlotte Latin as they look to repeat as NCISAA 4A Champs. He holds offers from a slew of mid-major programs.
LJ Thomas LJ Thomas 6'2" | CG Bull City Prep | 2022 #181 Nation NC from No. 105 to No. 8
Thomas is probably one of the biggest risers in the 2022 class at Bull City Prep. He’s a 6-foot-4 combo guard that makes an impact on both ends using his strength, length and athleticism. His recruitment has picked up during the high school season with offers from Virginia Tech, Houston, USC, Wichita State and Maryland.
Mike Best Mike Best 6'0" | PG Word of God | 2022 State NC from No. 25 to No. 15
Best has had a productive season comprising one of the top backcourts in the state alongside Jaden Cooper Jaden Cooper 6'3" | CG Wayne Country Day | 2021 State NC in 2020-21. He’s posted solid numbers at the off guard spot for the Wayne Country Day Chargers, averaging 17.6 ppg, 7.7 apg, 6.7 rpg and 2.0 spg, showing off his ability to stuff the stat sheet at just 6-foot. He’s also shooting 62 percent from the field and 47 percent from 3-point range.
Silas Demary Jr Silas Demary Jr 6'4" | CG Combine Academy | 2023 State #114 Nation NC from No. 30 to No. 25
It’s not the biggest leap but Demary is a prospect that made waves all season long in the Millbrook rotation and it’s worth noting. As one of their primary contributors, he put up 15.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.4 apg and 3.1 spg as a full-time starter. He’s an aggressive 6-foot-4 slasher with a knack for making plays for himself and others. He’s an efficient scorer that shot 53 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range as well.
Davis Molnar Davis Molnar 6'6" | SF Terry Sanford | 2022 State NC from No. 40 to No. 29
Molnar has been a consistent contributor this season in the Terry Sanford rotation, showing why he’s been in the national spotlight before already. He’s a versatile 6-foot-6 prospect with the ability to do multiple things on the floor as he’s done all year long. He’s produced 17.4 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 6.4 apg, 2.5 spg and 1.6 bpg in the rotation this season, producing seven double-doubles and a triple-double on the way. He’s prospect worth getting eyes on.
Christian Cornish Christian Cornish 6'5" | SF Lake Norman Christian | 2022 State NC from No. 139 to No. 38
Cornish is a versatile prospect at 6-foot-5 that’s a burden to defend against when he’s got the ball in his hands. He’s got a strong frame already which makes him a strong two-way presence on the floor. He’s a raw talent that can score it in bunches in the halfcourt and make plays around the rim on both ends.
Nikolas Graves Nikolas Graves 6'3" | PG Greensboro Day | 2022 State NC from No. 69 to No. 42
Graves has been a much more aggressive point guard prospect in the Greensboro Day School rotation in 2020-21. He’s quick off the bounce and even more of a presence on the defensive and rebounding front given his length and quick feet. He’s seen his stock grow as the Bengals look to make noise in the NCISAA 4A Playoffs. They’ll face Cannon School on Tuesday.
