Ben Burnham Ben Burnham 6'8" | SF Carmel Christian | 2021 State NC from 46 to 27
Burnham has had quite the season in the Carmel Christian rotation as they’re 21-1 on the season and on a 15-game winning streak heading into the 4A NCISAA State Playoffs. He’s been a monster in their frontcourt, putting up 23.9 ppg, 12.5 rpg, 2.5 bpg, 1.8 apg and 1.7 spg. He’s filled up the stat sheet while showing off his length and abiltiy in the paint and then some. e’s also shooting 54 percent from behind the arc. He’ll be a solid addition to the Winthrop lineup next season.
Tyler Lundblade Tyler Lundblade 6'5" | SG Greensboro Day | 2021 State NC from 191 to 54
Lundblade entered as a new face from the state of Texas and wasted little time showing off what he can do in the Greensboro Day School rotation. He’s an emerging shooting guard that’s effective off the bounce and off the catch at making plays on the wing. He does well moving without the ball to find his spots to make things happen. He’s had a few offers already from Cornell, Florida International and Charlotte.
Brady Rankin Brady Rankin 6'2" | CG Northwood Temple | 2021 State NC from 59 to 41
Rankin has really had a strong season as an addition to the Northwood Temple rotation as they’ve won 12 straight to close out the season. He’s posted 14.8 ppg, 2.1 rpg and 1.7 spg on the wing for the Eagles, including 30 points in a big conference tournament victory over Cape Fear Christian. Look for him to make some noise in the 2A NCISAA State Playoffs as his squad holds a No. 1 seed in the East. He holds offers from Georgia Southwestern and Young Harris College.
Tyler Gill Tyler Gill 6'0" | PG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2021 State NC from 71 to 46
Gill has improved a ton on his speed and decision-making at the point guard spot for Trinity Academy. He’s crossed the 1,000 point plateau while showing off his ability to make plays for himself and others off the bounce as Trinity Academy is 10-1 on the year. He’s a heady guard that gets after it on both ends and knows how to make his presence felt. He’s headed to Towson at the next level.
Akhiris Holden Akhiris Holden 6'5" | SF Henderson Collegiate | 2021 State NC from from 63 to 47
Holden has emerged as Henderson Collegiate’s leading scorer, posting 21.1 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.4 bpg, 2.4 spg and 1.8 apg in his senior campaign. He’s made waves attacking the rim on the offensive end and protecting the rim on the defensive end using his athleticism and length at 6-foot-5. He’s got five double-doubles under his belt through nine games while also averaging 4.0 offensive rebounds per game. He’s an active presence worth noticing now by colleges. He holds an offer from Richard Bland Community College.
Tharius Suggs Tharius Suggs 6'3" | CG Middle Creek | 2021 State NC from 76 to 58
Suggs has been a strong two-way threat for the Middle Creek Mustangs in 2020-21 and it’s shown with a boost in his rank. He’s really upped his game, especially on the defensive end in his final season for the Mustangs. He’s producing 22.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.1 apg and 4.6 spg as the lead guard in the backcourt while shooting 46 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range. He’s a relentless presence with a ton of talent to his game. He’s a prospect worth a look by college coaches.
