Game of the Night: Omaha Central vs. Millard North
The headliner of the night was rescheduled from last Friday, and I was lucky enough to be in the gym for this clash of two Metro Conference powers. Here’s who stood out.

Saint Thomas Saint Thomas 6'6" | CG Millard North | 2021 State NE – Millard North
Thomas is currently one of the top uncommitted 2021 prospects in not just the state of Nebraska but in the Midwest as a whole. Coming into the day Thomas was averaging 24 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. Earlier in the day he also received an offer from Florida Atlantic, adding to a list of mid-major D1’s who have been in contact with him as his recruitment remains wide open. Against Central, Thomas was able to display his touch around the rim. Whether that be on backdoor cuts to the basket, or by putting it on the deck and going to the rim himself. He finished the game with 19 points on 7-14 shooting, to go along with 9 rebounds and 4 assists on the night. Thomas has displayed his inside/outside game throughout the year shooting 64% from the field, and 55% from three, which is even further evidence that Thomas deserves more attention than what he is receiving.
Jaren Marshall Jaren Marshall 6'1" | CG Omaha Central | 2021 State NE – Omaha Central
Central got out to a lead early, however down the stretch of the game with Central trailing and needing a spark, Marshall kept the Eagles in it. The 6’1 senior point guard did so via the mid-range game and by getting to the rim and finishing through contact. Marshall is a tough guard and thrives putting the ball on the deck and going to the basket. He finished the matchup against the Mustangs with 13 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals. He’s a solid floor general who is averaging 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists a game so far this season for a very balanced, and very guard-heavy Omaha Central team, it will be interesting to see Marshall lead the Eagles down the home stretch of the regular season.
Other Notable Tuesday Night Performances
Connor Millikan Connor Millikan 6'1" | CG Platteview | 2023 State NE – Platteview
Millikan has been on a tear this year for the Trojans and continued his standout sophomore season Tuesday night against Nebraska City. The 6’1 guard tallied 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists Millikan remains one of the top sophomores to watch in the state of Nebraska.
Ajantae Hogan Ajantae Hogan 6'5" | CG Lincoln Southeast | 2021 State NE – Lincoln Southeast
One of the top uncommitted seniors in the state, Hogan eclipsed the 1,000 career point milestone in Southeast’s victory over Grand Island. Hogan had a game-high 15 points in the Knights’ victory and became just the third player in Southeast history to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Congratulations to Ajantae Hogan Ajantae Hogan 6'5" | CG Lincoln Southeast | 2021 State NE on scoring his 1,000th career point tonight in our win! Go Knights! @LSEBBasketball pic.twitter.com/56Z8D8w5UH

Pierce Bazil– Lincoln Northeast
Bazil is another of the top uncommitted senior prospects in the state of Nebraska. The 6’4 senior guard is averaging 20.7 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.4 rebounds a night for the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. One of the more well-rounded guards in the state, he’s received an offer from Wayne State and still remains uncommitted. On Tuesday night against Omaha Northwest, Bazil had 28 points, a follow up to a 31 point and 8 assist outing against Kearney over the weekend.
Carter Glenn Carter Glenn 5'11" | PG Lincoln East | 2021 State NE – Lincoln East
Thanks to recovery from an injury suffered during football season in the fall, Glenn has only played in seven games so far this winter for Lincoln East. However, when he’s been on the court, the 5’11 senior guard is averaging upwards of 20 points a night for the Spartans. Glenn tallied 28 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals against Kearney on Tuesday night.
