Johnsonville HS vs St James HS

The Class 1A Golden Flashes from Johnsonville HS struck twice in a matter of a week. The 1A Golden Flashes went on the road and defeated the St James HS Sharks at the Shark Tank this week in overtime 53-43. 

Travis Wilson Travis Wilson 6'2" | PF Johnsonville | 2024 State SC (2024) and Jasaan Faulkner Jasaan Faulkner 5'10" | PG St James | 2024 State SC (2024) both freshmen saw extensive playing time this evening. Both players started the game and made good contributions. Wilson a undersized post player really excelled on the football field this season for the Golden Flashes. Wilson plays the game with some toughness and does all his work down in the paint. Wilson finished with 11 point this evening. 

Faulkner a guard played off the ball a lot tonight but seems to be a point guard going down the road. Faulkner really defends on the ball and doesn’t seemed to get rattled on the floor for his age. Faulkner and Wilson will be two promising players in the years to follow in the Pee Dee and Grand Strand area. 

Quez Lewis Quez Lewis 5'8" | PG Johnsonville | 2021 State SC (2021) is the fire starter and makes the engine go for the Golden Flashes. Lewis was not perfect tonight by any means and made some mistakes but his team came out with the victory. Lewis finished the game with 16 points and logged 36 minutes of action. Lewis played wide receiver this season on the football team and recorded over 30 receptions. 

Jace Avant Jace Avant 5'11" | SG Johnsonville | 2022 State SC (2022) plays for his father Harris Avant here on the Golden Flashes roster. Avant is complete hustle and plays aggressive. Avant needs time to set his feet from downtown. Avant was able to connect on a few behind the arc and finished the night with 13 points. 

Dillon Haire Dillon Haire 6'0" | SG St James | 2021 State SC and Alphonso Ortiz-Robles Alphonso Ortiz-Robles 5'10" | SG St James | 2021 State SC both seniors in the back court for the Sharks scored in double figures. Haire a off guard finished the game with 13 points while Ortiz-Robles dropped 12 points before fouling out at the 3:50 mark of the overtime.
