Here were some of the senior standouts of the three games:
Rickey Bradley Rickey Bradley 6'1" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2022 State AZ Eduprize/AZ (Pictured)
-A physical guard who can post you up, shoot it from deep and is very crafty into the lane using his tighter handle and strength. He is a vital part of their teams success as he scores it and can defend multiple positions.
Justus Jackson Justus Jackson 6'0" | PG Eduprize | 2021 State AZ Eduprize/AZ
-Not many have his pull-up. It’s one of the best in the state off the dribble versus pressure. He is very calm under duress and is a better passer then he gets credited with. He also comes with volleyball line range, where he showed it off vs Prolific Prep multiple times later in the week in their big win. He unfortunately broke his wrist December 5th in the first half. We at PrepHoopsAZ are hoping for a speedy recovery!
Malik Thomas Malik Thomas 6'3" | SG Damien | 2021 State #99 Nation CA-S Veritas Prep/CA
-Another impressive scoring game for the USC commit. He scored 30 points to go along with 5 rebounds. More impressively was how efficient he was. He hit 6 3’s and was 9 for 13 from the field. He doesn’t need to play above the rim to get his points either. As his pull-up game and his strength through contact is big time. I am assuming he is the #1 scorer from the Grind Session.
Lamin Sabally Lamin Sabally 6'6" | SF Bella Vista Prep | 2021 State AZ Bella Vista Prep/AZ
-A glue guy for BVP has freaky long arms to defend with his quick feet and hands. He is a good downhill scorer and very fast in the open court. He is one of the better rebounding wings in the entire state and seems to grab 3-4 tough offensive rebounds out of area per game. The UTSA commit fills out the stat sheet.
OD Olange Jr PF 6’7 Minnesota Prep
-A run and jump athlete is a decent 3pt shooter. A very good athlete who can defend in space. He grabs out of area rebounds and is active throughout a game. He also blocks shots at a high rate. A future 3 and D for college.
Amahn Decker-Patterson PF 6’5 Minnesota Prep
-A rugged 4-man is another player that just keeps producing. He had 18 points and 16 rebounds. He out muscles and is just a tough player that doesn’t back down versus bigger posts. He can hit the 3 and is crafty to use floaters but loves working inside the paint with many post moves to utilize. But it is his rebounding that separates him from other undersized forwards.
Simon Wheeler Simon Wheeler 5'8" | PG Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2022 State AZ Bella Vista Prep/AZ
-A fun player to watch play. He changes speeds so quickly. He goes from fast to slow to fast maybe better then anyone in town. He is a flashy passer and has speed to burn from end to end. His consistency of his shooting may define him in college but his scoring from all levels and passing catch your eye. He committed to IUPUI, and they look like they got a gem.
