SubscribeHate to be the bearer of bad news but the more people in the know I talk too, say the same thing, the high school season here in New York is on the endangered list right now. So I will try to get as many athletes as I can, the press they deserve. We will start with this group of players who can definitely play at the next level. These updates I hope will be a useful tool in connecting college programs to players.
Chris Pettinato Chris Pettinato 6'4" | PF Syosset | 2021 State NY 6”4. 2021. Syosset HS
A starter in his junior year averaging 13 ppg. A natural scorer. Posseses unlimited range. Real smooth touch and release. Also has the ability to take defenders off the dribble. Working on his defensive footwork. Chris put in a lot of work during this down time and is a player to see his growth this coming season and beyond. Getting SUNY school looks. With his shooting ability and size would be a important piece to one of these programs.
Adam Gawreluk. 6”7 2021 Shoreham Wading River HS
A raw project but at 6”7 a lot of upside. He is a defensive presence with his size. Good post defender. Can alter shots without fouling. Has improved with clearing the glass has he gains more confidence. D3 programs should check in.
Mitchell Cummings. 6”3. 2021. Mount Sinai HS
Strong rebounder and finished around the rim. Can step out and shoot it. Good footwork. Needs to get more experience in different situations. Also a player who needs to get some more interest from D3 level schools.
Isiah Sween. 5”10. 2021. Central Islip HS
Really good defender gets deflections that leads to baskets. Excellent handle. Good shooter. Can get to the basket and score the ball. Has been improving on his pullup game. Local D3 schools are very interested.
Anthony Holloway. 6”1. 2021. Sachem North HS
Can score on all three levels. Has the ability to score in bunches. A strong on the ball lefty. Working to improve his off hand. A player who should be on the radar of D3 schools.
Chris Connors. 6”3. 2021. Island Trees HS
A flat out scorer of the ball. Can light it up quickly from the outside. A lefty guard who is just tapping his potential. Has a good post up game. Can be used to take advantage of smaller guards. Can also take you off the bounce. D3 programs have been checking in.
