With 5A now becoming the largest class division, 4A has become a defacto city championship featuring all Las Vegas Programs. With Gorman dominating the large class division for a decade, this new 4A division provides some parity, to go along with bragging rights. In this article, we take a look at the top returning assist leaders in the 4A division.
DJ Turner DJ Turner 5'11" | PG Shadow Ridge | 2021 State NV 5’10 PG Shadow Ridge 2021 (#58PHN 2021) – The Mustangs PG is a 5’10 dynamo with paint touch ability. He returns as the division’s assist leader after averaging over 4 assists per last season.
Kentrell Wallace Kentrell Wallace 6'1" | SG Las Vegas | 2021 State NV 6’1 SG Las Vegas 2021 (#23PHN 2021) 3.5apg – Wallace shows he is more than a scorer. A lot of his assist come from his ability to play in transition. He returns coming off a year where he averaged 3 and a half assist per game.
Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’1 PG Las Vegas 2022 (#4PHN 2022) 3.4apg – Easy to see why Jackson is such a fast-rising prospect. He’s shown up in all the major statistical categories, highlighting his value on the court. He averaged 3.4 assists during a marvelous sophomore campaign.
Nico Diaz Nico Diaz 6'0" | PG Bonanza | 2021 State NV 6’0 PG Bonanza 2021 (#71PHN 2021) 2.9apg – Much like Jackson, Diaz shows up in all the boxes. His playmaking ability was on full display last season as he managed to set up his teammates almost 3 times per game.
Lowell Francis Chan Lowell Francis Chan 6'6" | SF Sierra Vista | 2021 State NV 6’5 SF Sierra Vista 2021 (#56PHN 2021) 2.6apg (featured image) – Chan’s ability to create is a byproduct of his perimeter skills. Very adept at creating for himself off the bounce, Chan also displayed the ability to create for teammates, averaging over 2 and a half dimes per game.
Karson Roberts Karson Roberts 5'10" | PG Bonanza | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Bonanza 2023 (#11PHN 2023) – The savvy PG showed the ability to create for others in his first year as the Bengals PG. Roberts capped off a magnificent freshmen season by averaging nearly 2.6apg.
Zach Jefferson Zach Jefferson 6'2" | SG Shadow Ridge | 2021 State NV 6’0 PG Shadow Ridge 2021 2.1apg (#31PHN 2021) – In addition to the scoring duties, Jefferson also plays the role of set up man for the Mustangs. A good decision-maker when playing at high speed, Jefferson averaged 2.1apg last year.
