GHSA Season Preview: Player Rankings 2022

As the 2020-21 GHSA high school basketball season quickly approaches we will breakdown each classification based on our updated player rankings, highlighting the Top 100.

Class 2A

Only four juniors crack the Top 100 from Class 2A, but they are all in the top 57 proving quality is better than quantity sometimes at the lower levels. No. 13 [player_tooltip player_id="677695" first="Josh" last="Reed"] had a terrific offseason and has exploded onto High Major radars. He’s the latest Pace Academy star that has developed and makes the Knights even that much tougher heading into a year where they are the heaviest favorite in the entire state on paper to repeat. No. 31 [player_tooltip player_id="1011349" first="Mason" last="Lockhart"] joins the fight in Region 6 after transferring over from Carver-Atlanta. Lockhart is a reliable double-double threat that will see great experience when battling Pace Academy. No. 35 [player_tooltip player_id="870168" first="Travion" last="Solomon"] looked good with Team Georgia Magic playing up in 17U. Northeast-Macon is expected to return their top three players and could be a team that cracks the Top 10 in due time. No. 57 [player_tooltip player_id="870167" first="Kedar" last="Bodie"] is back on a Butler team that returns four of their top five players. The Bulldogs finished 19-7 a year ago and could be considered the favorite to win Region 4.
