Let’s take a look at some of the players on Long Island from the Catholic school league. Phil Iandoli . 6”1. 2021. Chaminade HS A program well known for producing shooters has one here in Phil. Unlimited range. Lights out shooter. Can flat out light it up from three. Ben Toussaint 6”3. 2021. St. Dominic’s HS A athletic strong body. Can drain the three. Also has a nice back to the basket game. Uses his body well inside. Jakai Lester 6”3. 2023 St. Dominic’s HS Injuries and the shortened seasoned just gave us a glimpse of a player who should breakout this year. Can finish around the rim. Very good rebounder. Good post defender. Excellent at closing out on shooters. Can play with his back to the basket. Kyle Marshall 5”9. 2022 St. Dominic’s HS Will be entering his third year on varsity. A shot maker. Makes buckets all different ways. Consumate point guard. Excellent ball handler and passer. Does not get phased at all. High basketball IQ. Crafty scorer and passer. Jaylen Bhoorasingh 6”2. 2021 Holy Trinity HS Really efficient player. Shot 50% from the floor and 40% from three. Does everything well. Scores in a variety of ways. Holy Trinity HS A big year is expected from this player this season. Very athletic. Played good minutes on a senior laden team. Will be asked to do more. A slasher type wing.
