Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’1 Las Vegas (#4PHN 2022) – Jackson has been one of the fastest rising players in his class and has played like a stud recently. It wasn’t his best weekend as he missed several layups that he simply never misses. However, I love evaluating guys when they’re not at their best. At his worst Jackson is an unstoppable penetrator with an elite handle who can make open 3’s. It was good enough to lead Vegas to a pair of wins in the Nevada bracket.
Pascal Volz Pascal Volz 6'1" | CG McClintock | 2022 State AZ 5’11 McClintock 2022 (#70PHA 2022) (featured image) – Volz showed good basketball IQ as well as the ability to beat opponents with his jumper. He was good from the corners, did a terrific job of setting up teammates, and controlled the pace and tempo of the game.
Ricardo Sarmiento Ricardo Sarmiento 5'11" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2021 State AZ 5’11 Phoenix Prep 2021 (#59PHA 2021) – Sarmiento’s signature is his lockdown on-ball defense. That ability alone allowed him to impact games, once he started showing the ability to knock down 3’s college coaches started coming. He received his first offer from Western New Mexico during the weekend.
Wyatt Bell Wyatt Bell 6'2" | CG Paradise Honors | 2021 State AZ 6’1 Paradise Honors 2021 (#93PHA 2021)- Really liked Bell’s toughness. It wasn’t in his ability to win fistfights, but rather his willingness to take and make big shots. Bell was good, making shots n both catch and shoot and when working his way through screens. It was during late-game situations, however, that he showed up big, burying several clutch shots to help PH get a victory over Las Vegas.
Jed Miller Jed Miller 6'0" | CG Agoura | 2021 State CA-S 6’0 SCA Academy 2021 (#144PHSC 2021) – Miller was a crafty PG during the AZ Prep Kickoff. He did a great job of getting paint touches, protecting the ball, and knocking down open shots.
Jake Blazona Jake Blazona 5'11" | PG Santa Margarita | 2021 State CA-S 6’0 Santa Margarita 2021 (#99PHSC 2021) – Blazona is the consummate floor general. He played with terrific poise and kept his team in games with his decision making and passing. The senior leader showed a high defensive IQ in SM’s zone and man to man defensive sets.
