SubscribeHere is a group of highly talented incoming freshman. These young players have the skill set to compete to have their names listed at the end of the year as a member of the all New York state teams. All these players already have D1 offers in their hands.
Jacob Hogarth. 6”8. 2024. Stepinac HS
High motor and a really good athlete. At 6”8 has the skillset to play on the wing. As he develops could actually play the big guard position in college. Can finish above the rim. Consistently knocks down shots 18 feet and in. By the time he is done coaches feel he could be a top 10 player in the country.
Johnuel Fland. 6”2. 2024. Stepinac HS
Has the ability to set up teammates and be a pass first lead guard. But can also get you 20 regularly. Really skilled player and an excellent shooter from three. High IQ and plays with a high motor.
Preston Edmead. 5”6. 2024 Deer Park HS
Has D1 bloodlines. Both brothers played D1 and are former members of all N Y state teams. He is also the only player on this lists that played on the varsity as an 8th grader. Started for a very successful Long Island HS program. Sees the floor really well especially in transition. Averaged 10 ppg and 6 assists while shooting 42 % from three.
Ian Jackson. 6”5 2024. Cardinal Hayes HS
Can be a high D1 player. Can score at all three levels. Super skill set. Plays the game at a high level and high energy. Can finish at the rim through contact. A special talent.
Eric Mejia. 6”3. 2024. Cardinal Hayes HS
A bulldog. Plays the game with great enthusiasm. Tougher the game the better he plays. Tremendous vision. Strong getting to the basket. Hard to knock off the ball.
Nas Simmons 6”1. 2024. Cardinal Hayes HS
Extremely talented shooter. Tremendous skill set. Really good handle that helps him get to the rim. Might be the best shooter from this group.
