Follow the links for part one and part two to see those student-athletes. In the final part to this series of underrated prospects in the 2021 class, college coaches can find a mixture of size and guard play to fit their needs.
2021 6’9 C David Pickles David Pickles 6'9" | C Mercer Island | 2021 State WA (Mercer Island HS) – Definitely one of the state’s underrated post prospects. Pickles is a strong 6’9 center that has a deceptive skill set to mesh nicely with his big frame. He has big hands for catching passes and grabbing rebounds. The rising senior also finishes well with either hand, making him a threat to turn over either shoulder to get his shot off. A classic post that will certainly be able to help some program. I also uploaded highlights to his profile which can be viewed by clicking on the link for his name/profile. A high academic student as well!
2021 6’11 C Liam Hanenburg Liam Hanenburg 6'11" | C Lynden | 2021 State WA (Lynden HS) – Most definitely an underrated player in the 2021 class. Hanenburg has been a “later bloomer” as he’s grown into his body and put everything together. He has massive size, runs the floor hard and he has a decent shooting touch as well. He has a strong frame and will only get better with time. Another high academic post player that will be able to help a plethora of programs.
2021 6’2 SG Grant McClure Grant McClure 6'2" | CG Liberty Christian | 2021 State WA (Liberty Christian HS) – Easily one of the most underrated guards in the state. McClure does an outstanding job of creating space off the dribble and elevating to knock down difficult shots with a high release. An elite shooter in the 2021 class off the bounce, jab step or catch and shoot. More than a shooter, McClure can attack his man off the bounce and finish with deceptive body control and skill. A prospect that should be on far more school’s recruiting lists.
2021 6’5 G Logan Kinloch Logan Kinloch 6'5" | CG West Valley | 2021 State WA (West Valley HS) – A skilled wing player that can do a little bit of everything on the court. Kinloch has good length and a frame that could put on more muscle. Kinloch is good on the break and can finish above the rim with some athleticism. A sleeper out of Yakima, Washington!
2021 6’3 CG Chike Ezeonu Chike Ezeonu 6'3" | CG Seattle Prep | 2021 State WA (Seattle Prep) – A player that has worked tirelessly to get better and position himself to be able to play at the next level. Ezeonu is a wiry 6’3 athlete that can play some possessions at the point or scoring guard with his length, athleticism and growing skill set. Continued development and game playing experience will help Ezeonu become the player he is capable of becoming and his best basketball is ahead of him. He recently picked up an offer to play at Division 3 UPS. *Feature image
