The next series of articles will cover 25 of the 2021s I have my eye on for the All 757 teams. Each player will be listed as well as their current school, height, position(s), and why they are on my watchlist.
11. Grant Lopez | 5’10 PG | NSA
Grant Lopez is a very consistent guard with a chance to shine this season. The sweet shooting point averaged 13.5 at a recent event and I expect even more this season. Lopez is an unselfish point guard who has the range to keep the defense honest.
12. Nate Tebay | 6’5 F | Norfolk Collegiate
Nate Tebay is one of the toughest forwards in the area. The hard nosed Tebay often times last year found himself guarding D1 level bigs. This player has 0 back down in him and will be a big contributor for his team as a rebounder and defensive presence.
13. Dominic Stanford Dominic Stanford 6'4" | SG Kempsville | 2021 State VA | 6’4 SG | Kempsville
Stanford is another player who will be in the running for MVP next season. The athletic wing was a force last season for Kempsville as an aggressive scorer. Stanford combines a consistent jumper with strong finishing skills. Stanford could possibly average 20+ next season as he tears up the area.
14. Marcus NeSmith | 6’4 W | Menchville
NeSmith is one of the better spot up shooters in the 757. At 6’4, he is able to consistently get his shot up. NeSmith plays with a slashing point guard so I expect him to light it up from deep next season.
15. Corey Martin Jr | 6’5 W | Catholic
Corey Martin Jr is an explosive forward who can play a few positions given his size and skill set. Close to 6’6 and athletic, Martin Jr is consistently able to dominate the boards. Martin Jr will have the chance to be one of the better rebounders in the 757 next season. His rebounding and bounce will help him chase this award.
