Tony Moss Tony Moss 6'6" | PF Doss | 2022 State KY , Doss – There is so much talent in Louisville that it’s easy to overlook kids. That’s essentially what happened with Moss. The first I ever heard of Tony was when a D1 coaching friend of mine went to a Doss game to watch an opposing player. He left the game telling me that Moss was a D2 kid with low D1 potential. Combine that with the solid summer Moss has been having with Kentucky Vision AAU and he’s going to definitely land in the next rankings and likely somewhere in the top 30-40 players.
Jacob Deere Jacob Deere 6'6" | PF Cooper | 2021 State KY , Cooper – One of the surprises of the AAU season thus far, Deere has been really good for Kentucky Select 17u. Jacob has been routinely putting up double-doubles and has shown the ability to stretch the floor with shooting. His lateral foot speed is going to be a question mark with college coaches as he’s got to prove he can guard away from the bucket but with his high skill level, Deere has a chance to land a spot at the next level.
Jude Bessler Jude Bessler 6'4" | PF St. Henry | 2021 State KY , Saint Henry – Staying in the 9th region, Bessler is the glue guy for the reigning All A State champions. While Wyatt Vieth Wyatt Vieth 6'4" | SF St. Henry | 2021 State KY gets a lot of the headlines for the Crusaders, Jude is second on the team in scoring and leads them in rebounding while shooting 52/39/76 in his Junior year. Primed for a big Senior season, Bessler is the type of player who will take multiple viewings for coaches to appreciate all he does but has a chance to be a really good college player.
Rickey Lovette Rickey Lovette 6'6" | PF Montgomery County | 2021 State KY , Montgomery County – Rickey was overlooked in the last rankings update after he moved to Mount Sterling from Florida. Long and athletic, Lovette is a first team player in the 10th region this year and has earned a scholarship offer from Kentucky State already. Rickey has a great motor and plays above the rim on offense. A gifted rim protector, Lovette would be a D1 kid if he were 6’8 or taller. For now, he has the look of a future D2 star.
Tae Dozier, Butler – Speaking of long and athletic, Tae fits that description to a tee. Part of a loaded Butler program where no one player tends to shine brighter than the rest, Dozier has largely flown under the radar but his time is coming. After a strong weekend playing with the Louisville Legends at a Pangos event, Tae has found his way on to the radar for some college coaches and could be the next Louisville kid to go to a Junior College for a year or two and emerge as a mid major or better D1 player in the near future.
