INTRO

Due to its rural and remote nature Northern Michigan is not a region flush with grassroots programs. One of the longest running and active programs is the aptly named Parallel 45. The 16U squad is led by P45 alumni player, former Benzie Central grad Josh Gray. Below is a brief rundown of their roster and abbreviated schedule.

ROSTER

Joel Ewald 5-9 2022 Roscommon Small but well schooled floor general. Has everything you want in a point guard but size.

[player_tooltip player_id="864021" first="Quinn" last="Zickert"] 6-0 2022 Benzie Central Physically imposing old school wing. As you will see part of strong Husky contingent on this squad.

[player_tooltip player_id="864009" first="Nate" last="Childers"] 5-11 2022 Benzie Central Keeping the Huskie theme going. Similar to Zickert, a imposing backcourt prospect. Not quite as big but equally as aggressive and physical.

[player_tooltip player_id="986582" first="Jaxon" last="Childers"] 5-10 2024 Benzie Central Not a typo, the grade is correct. Playing with his older brother and up two grade levels. Future is bright for this young prospect.

Caleb Caul 6-1 2022 Grayling Solid backcourt prospect with good size for the position. Should team with fellow 2022 Dylan Cragg to give Vikings an excellent two pronged attack next year.

Jackson Kulawiak 6-0 2023 Buckley Prospect with good bloodlines playing up a grade level. Looking to reinvigorate a Buckley program with some good recent history.

Tyler Milarch 6-0 2023 Buckley Gritty and aggressive player. Coaches son who bears a striking physical resemblance to former Bear great and current Spring Arbor standout Denver Cade

Nick Stevenson 6-4 2023 Benzie Central Big imposing post who will not need to fill out much. Football standout and you can tell with how he plays.

Mason Malpass 6-4 2022 East Jordan Similar game to Stevenson. Fearless and physical post player. A little more refined in footwork. Also helps that he is a lefty.

Blake Miller 5-10 2022 Frankfort Heady backcourt prospect. Has some big game experience. Will not have to carry the load as senior [player_tooltip player_id="814631" first="Jack" last="Stefanski"] will lead the charge for the Panthers.

Drew Thompson 5-10 2023 TC West Only player on this list to play freshmen basketball. Personally I don’t view that as a negative. West is an excellent developmental program with a huge enrollment. One of the top players on said ninth grade team and has a bright future for the Titans.
