Tyler Booty- Wylie High School 5’9
Tyler is a quick shooting guard who is accurate when granted the time and space to spot up and get his feet underneath him. He is confident in his shot, he gets high enough on his jumper, and even when defenders run at him, he shoots with no fear. He still has time to grow and take that next step to get him to the next level, and I am intrigued to see how he competes during his senior campaign next year.
Kyle Griffith- Rowlett High School
Kyle is an active on-ball defender who’s tenacity results in many steals over this last season. When he gets steals, he is great at keeping his head up to find the right outlet pass. He also showed confidence in pounding the ball up the court to put pressure on the defense. When he gets his feet set, he is a confident shooter even if he has a defender coming out to contest or has a hand right in his face. He moves well without the basketball from the corner to the wings, and always goes at the right time as soon as his defender flips his head.
Zavien Henderson- Rowlett High School
Zavien is an elite point guard who is fantastic at creating open looks for his teammates. He loves to shoot the rock from deep to get his defenders on their heels and force them to contest hard. Once that is opened up in his game, he thrives at getting to the rack and getting tough passes to shooters in the corner. He has a true point guard mentality and fires crisp passes that always end up in good spots as well as showed great touch at lofting passes over the defense in a full-court fast break opportunity.
Bryson Hill- Lakeview Centennial High School
Bryson is a true athlete with great basketball awareness, he showed intelligence and skill defending players off the ball and was great at poaching lazy passes and flipping them into good looks for his team at the other end. His long arms combined with his awareness allow him to disrupt the game on the defensive side of the game with ease. While running a full-court defense against smart ball handlers, he showed the ability to stay in front of smaller and quicker guards as well as disrupt them with ferocious traps and scrappy on-ball defense. His long arms grant him the ability to finish in the lane with ease and outstretched arms and contests do not seem to bother him while attacking. While roaming without the basketball, he has the ability to create space by running off of back screens and tiring out his defenders with his constant motion.
Tristan Johnson- Naaman Forest High School 6’2
Tristan is a scrappy wing who plays tenacious on-ball defense. He has active hands that seem to have an ease for knocking the ball free. His quick footwork and ability to out-jump opponents, even on the third or fourth jump is a skill that will make him extremely dangerous and able to wreak havoc on opposing offense, even at the next level. He has a very keen eye for where the next pass should end up going and has a knack for intercepting passing lanes and create fast-break opportunities for his team. He had multiple games for Naaman Forest in which he ended up with multiple steals, as well as impacted the game that doesn’t always end up in the box score with solid box-outs and many passes that lead to assists.
