Kyle Filipowski Kyle Filipowski 6'9" | PF Wilbrham & Monson | 2022 State #13 Nation New E | Wilbraham & Monson Academy
6/18/20: Filipkowski receives an offer from Iowa
6/22/20: Filipkowski receives an offer from Louisville
Player Analysis: Kyle Filipowski Kyle Filipowski 6'9" | PF Wilbrham & Monson | 2022 State #13 Nation New E has not let quarantine keep him from being busy, as he has spent the past couple months receiving offers from various programs, with Iowa and Louisville recently throwing their hat into the ring. Filipowski is only a sophomore, but looks nothing like it as he stands taller than the rest of the floor at 6’10″. Filipowski has been a monster on defense, but his athleticism allows him to focus on perimeter wings and guards, as well as a role to shift the defense. On offense, he is heralded as a great stretch big, who can force the ball in from the paint as well as the corner.
Massai Graham | Tapestry Charter
6/19/20: Graham receives an offer from Bryant
Player Analysis: Out of Buffalo, Massai Graham’s bouncy style of play has been proven to succeed at every level of basketball. At 6-7, Graham has an incredible amount of vertical leap and athleticism which allows him to penetrate to the rim on anyone. Graham can be a monster in the paint on defense, where his height isn’t the best but his control and leap allow him to get every shot, while his incredible bounce allows him to run rims and throw down lobs on defense, to easily penetrate to the rim and score over defenders.
RJ Greene | Iona Prep
4/8/20: Greene receives an offer from St. Francis
6/15/20: Greene receives an offer from Bryant
Player Analysis: RJ Greene is part of the lower NY CHSAA, which includes the best teams and players in the state, going up the elite country level. At New Rochelle’s Iona Prep, Greene was able to excel at his scoring guard role, and tear apart offenses. Greene’s best skill is driving to the rim, as his speed changes and handles dazzle defenders, while he can also drop his bombshell of his own pull up three-point or mid-range jumper.
Willie Lightfoot Jr | Sunrise Christian
6/18/20: Lightfoot receives an offer from Marquette
6/18/20: Lightfoot receives an offer from Alabama
Player Analysis: Lightfoot had a memorable two-offers-in-one-day event on the eighteenth, but Lightfoot rightfully earned it. Although Lightfoot has moved out of NY, he will always be remembered statewide for nearly leading Niagra to a state championship. Lightfoot has great playmaking skills, which, when paired with rim running forwards, allow him to throw up lobs with pinpoint accuracy, while he can also drive on his own accord, as well as being the leader on and off the court, as a point guard should be.
Tariquek Foster Tariquek Foster 6'8" | SF Cardinal Hayes | 2022 State NY | Albany
6/15/20: Mulvey receives an offer from Bryant
6/19/20: Mulvey receives an offer from Albany
Player Analysis: Mulvey is one of the many beneficiaries from Bryant’s June 15th shopping spree, and it has merit to say that Mulvey might just be the most talented out of all of them. The big man is one of the state’s elite and is able to be a rock in the paint on both ends of the floor. On offense, Mulvey is able to set screens and roll with a perfect technique, while being a putback king. Defending, Mulvey is able to deny defenders with his presence, and for those who do choose to battle him, he usually forces them to leave scoreless.
