SubscribeGood teams have very talented players, and are well-coached. But also have players who relish their roles for the good of the team. After all it is still all about winning. Here are trios who work together to achieve their goals. But credit must be also given to the coaches who are able to get the best out of their players.
Brentwood HS has the real deal in Jordan Rielly(2021). A freak athlete with excellent skill set. The early favorite for New York States player of the year. An explosive player. Jordan faces double and triple team’s constantly. Opponents coach against him, two different ways. Do they stop him, or do they let him get his points and stop his teammates? Neither way works most of the time. That’s where the other 2 guys in the triple come in. Messiah Collins (2022) had a backup role last season. Next year he will be a main contributor. He showed he’s ready. Keeps possessions alive. Very quick to the ball. Gets to the rim and can finish. Combine Messiah’s knack at finding the ball with Isiah Randolph (2021). The strong body athletic physical player is a force. Fearless going to the rim. This high school program turns out talented teams that do what it takes to be successful and these three will lead the way.
Half Hollow Hills East HS has three really talented players. rising sophomores Dante Green and Frank Wilson. The Green family is well known (Danny Lakers). Dante (2023) is making the family proud. Really strong on the glass. He knows how to use his body and speed. Really elevates on his jumper. Frank (2023) can score around the rim. Really good finishing in transition. Very athletic. Coach feels he could be 6”7 by the time he graduates. Xavier Lewis(2022) is a pass-first point that can score when he needs to. Sees the floor really well. His pull up game is exceptional. This group of three is still young and will combine for a lot of wins and titles before they are done.
Chaminade HS has an advantage with their threesome. They have three different positions filled. Phil Iandoli (2021) is a sharpshooter who can handle the ball and find ways to get to the rim. When he needs to dish inside 6”9 Darian Parks(2022) is a welcome sight. The big man is still raw, but lookout, he is ready to emerge. A rim protector on one end a post you up on the other. Cooper Francis (2021 is the mid-range guy in the trio. An old school player. Probably the best of the three and the first option. He can really shoot the ball. So they have scorers in every space on the floor.
