Matthew Henry-Harrison Matthew Henry-Harrison 5'10" | CG AZ Compass Prep Black | 2023 State AZ (Buckeye) (Pictured)
-With the huge loss of graduate Boothman and his 26 ppg, MHH will try and fill that big void for the Hawks guard. He avg 13.9 points 3.6 rebounds and an impressive 3.5 steals per game.
Derick Kaps Derick Kaps 6'1" | PG Highland | 2021 State AZ and AJ Riggs AJ Riggs 6'2" | SG Highland | 2022 State AZ (Highland)
-The Hawks duo of Kaps and Riggs will be a dangerous in 6A. Kaps can be their team leader and facilitator while still scoring. He avg 7.5 points 2.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds. Then you have Riggs, as he is becoming one of the most prolific pure shooters in his class. He avg 12.4 points and 1.5 rebounds with 7 games over 17 points which included 31 vs Skyline with 9 3pt shots made.
Patrick Chew Patrick Chew 6'4" | SG Brophy | 2022 State AZ (Brophy Prep)
-The newcomer had to sit out the first half of the season but once he was inserted the Broncos just kept winning. Chew does many things to affect wins from defense, scoring and passing.
Trenten Lavender Trenten Lavender 6'0" | CG Centennial | 2022 AZ (Centennial)
-The coaches son is tough, smart and skilled. He avg 15.4 points 3.2 assists 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals before he got injured late in the year. That will obviously be the biggest question surrounding the Coyotes. If he’s not ready to compete, look for another guard like Abe Rangel Abe Rangel 6'0" | PG Centennial | 2022 State AZ to step up his game. Abe can score it and make others better.
Yahir Garcia Yahir Garcia 6'4" | SG Southern AZ Volunteers | 2021 State AZ (Tucson)
-The long and lean shooter isn’t very well known but Chaparral found him to be a problem in their playoff loss to the Badgers. Garcia avg 13.7 point 1.3 assists 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
Carson Biggs Carson Biggs 6'1" | SG Desert Mountain | 2021 State AZ (Desert Mountain)
-A stronger shooter keeps improving every year. He avg 12.9 points 1.5 assists 3.3 rebounds and .6 steals per game. Tony Elliott Jr Tony Elliott Jr 6'2" | PG Desert Mountain | 2021 State AZ and Biggs will be a dangerous back court in 5A.
Paris Woods Paris Woods 6'5" | SF Bella Vista Prep | 2021 State AZ (Apollo)
-The long athlete and younger brother of ASU PG Holland Woods, will have his opportunity to shine this season. Many seniors graduating were stat hogs and Paris will be one of the beneficiaries of them leaving. He avg 7.1 points 1.9 assists 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
