Prospect Watch: A look at several 2021 forwards

<p>With the spring AAU basketball schedule on hold, Prep Hoops takes a look at several prospects that fans and college coaches should know heading into next season.</p> <p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="889477" first="Mike" last="Carson"], 6’3, F, 2021, KC Harmon</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A 6A All-State honorable mention last season, Carson is a strong two-way player who can rebound, force turnovers and come away with the ball in unlikely situations. He is a good scorer down low and an underrated passer. He is good at setting screens and has an improving shot and ball handling skills. An all-around glue piece who plays hard and carries a big load for his team. </span></p> <p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="889461" first="Branden" last="Eckles"], 6’6, F, 2021, Olathe South</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A strong and powerful option inside who has solid mobility and can clean up plays on offense and get to the basket and block shots in transition. Eckles was a 6A All State honorable mention last season as he looked to make an impact wherever he could. He was physical and made a great target down low and showed he could get up and make plays at the rim on both ends of the floor. </span></p> <p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="889496" first="Ben" last="Fritz"], 6’5, G/F, 2021 BVNW</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A glue piece who keeps his team running their best when he’s on the floor. He is a strong rebounder and is good at finishing plays inside but also has a lot of upside as a rim protector. Fritz can see a lot of time in several positions given his fluid nature, speed and overall size. He can handle the ball some, is a capabel scorer inside and out and hustles and plays with purpose. Fritz earned 6A All State honorable mention honors for his play. </span></p> <p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="946220" first="Carter" last="Lichtsinn"], 6’4, G/F, 2021, Olathe West</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A player who can create his own shot but also makes noise as a catch-and-shoot player. He has good size and can play inside and out and looks to make an impact on both ends of the floor. Lichtsinn moves well along the baseline and can sneak past opponents and score near the basket. He can handle the ball some and has a strong mid-range shot and can get buckets around the glass. Lichtsinn was </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">6A All State honorable mention last season. </span></p> <p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="962473" first="Andrew" last="Orr"], 6’7, F, 2021, Blue Valley North</b></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Orr is a promising big man down low who has good upside and a soft touch to his shot. He can score inside, outside and is a solid passer. He’s an unselfish playmaker who can make plays at the rim. Orr earned 6A All State honorable mention honors and was a valuable two-way piece </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">North and found success in half court and full court settings. A player who rebounds, forces turnovers and can get to the basket and finish.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
