Cody Smith Cody Smith 6'7" | PF Liberty Ranch | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 Forward, Liberty Ranch (Gault CA)
Smith has a nice big frame and long arms, he’s active and uses his body well for a young prospect. He does a good job defending inside, his hands are always up, he changes and blocks shots. He’s excellent at boxing out and is aggressive going after rebounds, he does a good job attacking the offensive boards. He’s got some work to do on offensive side of the ball, nevertheless he has good hands and a nice touch, he can hit the short jumper. He’s got an upside to his game. I expect these numbers to improve going forward. He averaged 9 ppg, 6.6 rebs.
Kiku Parker Kiku Parker 5'10" | PG Grant Union | 2023 State CA-N 5’10 Guard El Camino (Sacramento CA)
Parker started his high school career with a bang, All League, team MVP. The athletic scoring guard led his team in scoring 16.8 ppg, 3.8 asts, 2.9 stls. A physical guard with excellent ball handling skills, can score in many ways including breaking down his defender, and through contact. He has good balance, and quickness very difficult for any defender one on one.
Ryan Beasley Ryan Beasley 5'11" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State #228 Nation CA-N 5’9 Point Guard, Dougherty Valley (San Ramon CA)
A High IQ fun to watch prospect. He has a good understanding of point guard responsibilities. Good body control, he’s always in the flow, knowing when to speed it up or slow it down. He’s good at keeping bigger defenders off balance on the drive, he has a quality pull up jumper and he hits open 3’s. His handles and passing are solid. He averaged 11.9 ppg.
Derek Lamb Derek Lamb 6'6" | PF Whitney | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 Forward, Oakmont (Roseville)
Lamb is a long prospect with a good frame who has to add some muscle. He did some good things playing the post for Oakmont. He was a solid performer on the defensive end. He has good post presence, and he has good shot blocking tools, he goes straight up, with hands up avoiding fouls in most instances. He gets up and down the floor at a good pace. He has a good shooting form from 3, if he improves his outside shot his stock will rise.
Jamar Howard Jamar Howard 6'3" | SG Pacific Grove | 2023 CA-N 6’3 Guard, Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove CA)
Howard, a long slender lefty combo guard led his team in scoring his first year in high school 16.5 ppg. He’s an excellent player who moves with a purpose. He has good handles, he patiently waits, using screens to his advantage before making his move. He’s smooth in his approach going to the paint, often putting it high off the glass for buckets. He has a high arc on his shot from three. He’s a player I have to see more of.
