Here is a list of prospects who college coaches need to set their alarm clocks on before they oversleep.
Calen Lightford Calen Lightford 5'11" | NA lbs | PG Sparkman | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 5’10 PG, Sparkman: The only sub 6’0 player in the top 10, but well deserved because this kid is flat out a competitor. Though he is slight of build he is deceptively strong and has a knack of getting to the paint and finishing through contact. His speed and ball-handling ability allow him to control the pace and get to his spots and score or set up his teammates.
Patrick Burke Patrick Burke 6'2" | NA lbs | CG Headland | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 6’1 CG, Headland: This smooth lefty can play. He plays with a confident swagger to his game and is a scoring machine. He plays well off the bounce but is very efficient in catch and shoot situations. His ability to score in the mid-range adds value to his game because he is able to get to the paint and finish or make plays for others. Very excited to see his development going forward.
JT Gilbert JT Gilbert 6'8" | NA lbs | PF Hamilton | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 6’8 PF, Haleyville: This traditional big has improved a lot over the last season. He plays well from either block and does a good job of using his body to establish position. He has a very good jump hook over either shoulder with both his left and right hand. He doesn’t play much above the rim however he does a good job of eating up space and grabbing rebounds and challenging shots.
J’Quan Broxson J’Quan Broxson 6'5" | NA lbs | SF Geneva County | 2022 #NA Nation AL , 6’5 SF, Geneva County: A well put together prospect that thrives in playing a physical perimeter game. He has very good athletic ability and shoots it well from outside. His game however really shows in transition and playing that in that 15 ton 19 ft range where he is able to overpower smaller defenders and blow by big guys. Look for him to garner much more D1 attention going forward.
Dresean Knight Dresean Knight 6'9" | NA lbs | C Minor | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 6’9 C, Minor: Hard to say this current top 10 prospect is a sleeper standing at 6’9 but he is only scratching the surface of his potential. Still, a developing offensive player he does have the natural skill of good hands and footwork. Where he is special is on the defensive end of the floor. His timing and understanding of verticality at a young age has his ceiling looking like it is made of glass.
Jamyas Davis Jamyas Davis 6'5" | NA lbs | PF Sipsey Valley | 2022 State #NA Nation AL , 6’5 PF, Sipsey Valley: A very physically imposing wing player that can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. The lefty strong hand dominant player is hard to stop when getting to that left hand and has the ability to get all the way to the basket or pulling up and using a multitude of floaters around the basket. An improving outside shooter still makes his money on that low right block or in the mid-post.
