Keon Sabb | Williamstown
Sabb is one of the best athletes in New Jersey. He is a standout on the football field and also a track star. Sabb transferred to Williamstown prior to his sophomore year and immediately made an impact. He averaged 21.3 points in 16 games for Williamstown. He also grabbed over eight rebounds per game. On the basketball court, Sabb is the top athlete at all times. He can outrun most defenders, out jump most players down low, and dominate at all times. It is unknown which route he will take at the next level, but he will be successful either way.
Daniel Skillings Daniel Skillings 6'5" | SG Roman Catholic | 2022 State PA | St. Joe’s (Hamm.)
Skillings took the next step as a sophomore and will continue to improve during his years as an upperclassman. Skillings, at 6’5, has great size and length on the perimeter. He takes long strides which helps him get past defenders. Skillings knocked down 40 three’s and got to the free throw line effectively. When it comes to IQ on the court, Skillings is always near the top. He is an active player on the boards that can take over a game in many ways.
Daniel Vessey Daniel Vessey 6'3" | CG Hun | 2023 State NJ | Hun
Vessey is one of the top prep players in the state. He has the skill but just needs to become more consistent. That will come with time. Vessey definitely showed the ability to take over a game offensively. He scored 20 or more points four times including 30 points against Lawrenceville. Vessey will once again be a top player to watch in the prep basketball scene.
Deywilk Tavarez Deywilk Tavarez 6'2" | PG Academy Of The New Church | 2023 PA | Highland
Talk about raw ability. Tavarez is an extremely skilled player that makes the game look easy. The 6’0 point guard is an elite scorer who can knock down a shot from deep. He averaged around 13 points per game as a sophomore and totaled 317 points. He missed sometime but was dynamic when on the floor. Tavarez was also an effective rebounder from the guard position.
Donovan Long Donovan Long 6'6" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ | Marist
Long has a great chance to take the next step as a junior. He has the size at 6’6 and versatility as he can play many positions on the floor. He is listed as a small forward but can guard all positions and even take over a guard position on the offensive end if necessary. Long will become a more consistent offensive threat over the final two years of his career.
Isaiah Edmond Isaiah Edmond 6'2" | CG Don Bosco Prep | 2022 State NJ | Don Bosco
Edmond was not much a factor this season but Don Bosco is losing some key players in Myles Ruth Myles Ruth 6'1" | PG Don Bosco Prep | 2020 State NJ and Brendan Mykalcio Brendan Mykalcio 6'5" | SF Patrick School National | 2021 State NJ . This leaves some guard positions up for grabs. Edmond showed some promise last season and will jump into an extended role as a junior. This will give him a chance to show what he can do. Edmond is a player to keep an eye on over the summer and when next season begins.
