3-Pack: 2021 Shooting Guards To Watch

<p>The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs. </p>
<p>With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Shooting Guards in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="783208" first="Preston" last="Barker"], [player_tooltip player_id="874187" first="Marcus" last="Davidson"], and [player_tooltip player_id="963916" first="Lucas" last="Letsinger"].</strong></p>

<strong>Stats</strong>: 3.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.3 apg<br />
<strong>Thoughts</strong>: <span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Preston is a big guard with some legit strength and stocky frame. While big, he moves pretty well and can create shots for his teammates. He’s not a big time shooter but has the upside as the jumper is useful just not a bit part of his game and more of a catch-and-shoot guy than pull-up. <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="874187" first="Marcus" last="Davidson"] – 6’0 SG 2021 – Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (IN)</strong><br />
<strong>Stats</strong>: 15.9 ppg, 4.1 apg, 48% 3pt<br />
<strong>Thoughts</strong>: <span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Marcus is a big guard who can really light it up from pretty much any spot on the floor. He was more of a perimeter shooter last year but from what we saw in this game, his ability to get to a spot and get enough separation to hit a pull-up is much improved. Had at least four triples and hit a mid-range pull-up, an up-and-under on a drive and a couple other players on the wing where he had to make a move to pull it off. He is still an off-guard, but at the right level, he’s a guy that can help on the point. Marcus is a scoring guard who just needs a second to get his shot off. He’s got some strength and toughness, so if he has the right matchup, in the middle of the floor he is going to excel.</span></p>

<strong>Stats</strong>: 5.2 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.8 apg, 42% 3pt<br />
<strong>Thoughts</strong>: <span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Lucas is a solid shooting guard who can play well as a perimeter creator. He’s not a guy that relies much on any one thing as he scored of a layup, floater, transition bucket, and a three off the catch. It was about as diverse of scoring as you could have. He was really efficient but do want to see him find other ways to contribute.
