SubscribeWith the high school basketball season officially a wrap, it’s time we start to roll out our All SoCal Player and Coach of the year, along with our first, second and third All-SoCal teams.
These teams were constructed with input from our SoCal writers and contributors and take into account a player’s full body of work, from statistical contributions, to the impact they had on winning and how far their team went in the postseason in their respective Sections and State Divisions. Here are the All-SoCal Third Team selections.

Andrews was one of the key cog’s in Windward’s run to the CIF-SS Division 1 title and to the semifinals of the CIF State D1 SoCal Regional playoffs. The 6-foot-3 sophomore served as the team’s primary ball-handler and playmaker, while also being a guy the Wildcats could rely upon to take and make big shots down the stretch. Andrews averaged just under 13 points per game to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.

Though Christopher’s team didn’t feature a whole lot of depth, the 6-foot-4 senior did everything he could to get them into the postseason. Christopher put up eye-popping numbers this season, posting averages of 29.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.5 steals per game while passing Josh Childress as the school’s all-time leading scorer. Mayfair won 17 games, a Suburban League title, and reached the second round of the CIF-SS Division I playoffs where it lost to eventual champion Windward, 67-65.

Powell’s game isn’t predicated on scoring a bunch of points or having the ball in his hands for the majority of the game, but his impact was seen in just about every facet of the stat sheet and beyond. The 6-foot-5 junior proved to be a versatile defender, improved perimeter shooter and a guy who could dominate the glass on both ends despite lacking the prototypical size of a big man. Powell helped Ribet Academy take the CIF-SS Division 2A title as well as the CIF State Division I SoCal Regional crown.

The San Diego Section Player of the Year led the Saints to a 24-7 overall record and a selection to the SDS Open Division playoff field. At 6-feet-7, Agbo was one of the more versatile wings in the state. He scored in a variety of ways, rebounded at a high rate and showed the ability to be a lockdown defender at multiple positions. Agbo averaged 23 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and is headed to Texas Tech in the fall.
F Devin Tillis Devin Tillis 6'6" | SF Windward | 2020 State CA-S , Windward
Tillis is another player who is the picture of versatility. The 6-foot-6 wing did a little bit of everything for the Wildcats this season, from hitting open three-point shots with consistency to serving as a point-forward and guarding just about every spot on the floor throughout the season. Tillis averaged 14.5 points, nine rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting just under 40 percent from deep. The UNLV-bound senior helped lead Windward to the CIF-SS Division 1 title and a trip to the D1 State Regional semifinals.
