Carroll Chargers upset #1 (2A) Shenandoah
Shenandoah came into this game on an impressive 12-game win streak but that was snapped when the Carroll Chargers (Fort Wayne) beat them today, 58-51. This is Carroll’s biggest win this year so far and now they improve to 13-3. 2021 G Richie Gross led the Chargers in scoring with 17 points total. Interested to see if the Chargers can keep building off this win when they travel to Fort Wayne North next week.
Decatur Central’s Tracy drops 30 points
Today saw the Decatur Central Hawks go on the road to defeat the Southport Cardinals, 74-65. 2020 PG Kenny Tracy was a big factor in today’s win as he had one of his best games this season dropping 30 points. Southport on the other hand has not had the season they were projected to have and now they are just 7-11 thus far this season. It is also worth noting that Tracy’s teammate, and brother, Javon Tracy added 22 points on the day.
4A Attucks survives 2A Blackhawk Christian
Kokomo hosted a lot of good matchups today but this one was one of the more anticipated ones. Crispus Attucks ended up defeating Blackhawk Christian 71-57 in what was a good game for the most part. Attucks’ Sincere McMahon finished the game with 21 points while Blackhawk’s Zane Burke finished with 24 points. Caleb Furst (Blackhawk) also had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
