Village Christian Sophomore Guard Jalen Higgins: Stepped up in some clutch moments when they needed buckets, using his ability to slash to the paint as well as knock down the deep ball. We felt as though he would be one of the X factors in this matchup and his shooting was much needed for his team.
Trinity Christian Sophomore Cam Oates: He’s the type of player that you want on the floor in clutch moments, he doesn’t get rattled and seems to enjoy the pressure of the moment. With his team down four with time running out in the championship, he stepped up and knocked down a big time three that would trim the lead and set his squad up for an opportunity to win the game. He’s one to keep an eye on for the upcoming state tournament as well as during the AAU/Grassroots season.
Freedom Christian Senior Guard Bosko Mihailovic: Was one of his teams leading scorers and took on more of a scoring load in the 2nd half. He got into the paint at a high rate and also displayed the ability to knock down the trey ball.
Trinity Christian Sophomore Jamahri McDougald: With one of the teams leading scorers out with an injury, he stepped up to provide a nice amount of scoring for the group. His three point shooting alone makes him dangerous but he also posses crafty ballhandling skills and the ability to finish in traffic.
Northwood Temple Senior Guard Jay Hickman: His shooting was a bit off but he still continued to make plays and stayed engaged. He got after it on the defensive end and contributed nicely on the boards. Recently he picked up a D2 offer and is a player that schools that are looking for a shooter should come in and see.
Freedom Christian Junior Guard Jayden Doyle: Solid overall prospect that has picked up a D1 offer and a nice amount of interest. The combination of scoring ability and athleticism are the things that will grab your attention about him.
Northwood Temple Junior Guard Emmanuel Sepulveda: He’s the floor general for this group, constantly communicating and getting his teammates into the right positions to score. His passing is one of his best attributes as he has outstanding vision and the ability to convert difficult passes.
