Continue ReadingWe are now in the last week of 4A District playoffs and there have been a lot of surprising & unpredictable outcomes thus far. It has been a rocky road to the Dome for some of the predicted favorites that have them knocked out early and no chance at berth to the Hardwood Classic state tournament. For others, it has been an electrifying ride that has them vying for an unpredictable state berth. Here is an overview, predictions, players to watch and information on the tournament. It’s almost Dome time, the most magical place this time of year!

Kaden Perry Kaden Perry 6'10" | C Battle Ground | 2021 State #16 Nation WA , Battleground | 6’9 C | Class of 2021 | -Explosive athletic Gonzaga commit dominates on both ends of the floor. Hard to contain down low and also has a strong mid-range shot. Tenacious upside and with still 2yrs of High School career ball…could be All-American material.
Tanner Toolson Tanner Toolson 6'4" | SG Union | 2020 State WA , Union | 6’4 SG | Class of 2020 | -Versatile combo guard, can score on all 3 levels. His length helps on the perimeter against contended shots and assisting with boards.
Maleek Arington Maleek Arington 6'3" | PG Auburn | 2022 State WA , Auburn | 6′ PG | Class of 2022 | – Young, but the leader of the team as a sophomore. Great point guard instinct and court vision, can make things happen both ends of the court including a fluid 3 and lockdown defense.
Jackson Grant Jackson Grant 6'10" | PF Olympia | 2021 State #78 Nation WA , Olympia | 6’9 C | Class of 2021 | -University of Washington commit & ESPN Top 60 nationally ranked at #39 is a dominant force and hard to decelerate. Athletic long build, he can dominate down low with the rebound put-back or hit the outside elbow jumper. Not to mention his contribution on defense, rebounding and blocking making it hard to score in the paint.
Kyle Gruhler Kyle Gruhler 6'5" | SF Skyview | 2020 State WA , Skyview | 6’5 SG | Class of 2020 | – Sharpshooter, can knock down contested and open 3’s but can create off the dribble with either a pull-up or at the rim. With his length, he is versatile at both the SG and SF and can power thru drives to get to the line. With his fluent shot and height, he is deadly on the perimeter.
Peter Erickson Peter Erickson 6'6" | SG Federal Way | 2020 State WA , Federal Way | 6’6 SG | Class of 2020 | – Specialty shooter, can consistently hit the 3, mid-range, create off the dribble and his length helps him get to the rim easily. Quick with high-caliber court vision and IQ with experienced ball-handling poise under pressure.
