South Bend Washington has 3 players score double figures
Last night saw the South Bend Washington Panthers defeat John Glenn 83-70. This was a big road win for the Panthers who have been pretty average so far this season with an 8-8 record. Three prospects for Washington stepped up and were a major factor of the victory as 2020 SG DeMarcus Vaughn (36 points), 2020 PF Jylen Petty (16 points), and 2020 SG Janye Griffin (16 points) all three scored in double figures. John Glenn falls to 12-4.
Mater Dei’s Hiester has Double-Double
Jackson Hiester of Mater Dei had one of his best games of the season last night with dropping a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds. This 6’4 2020 SF was a major of 2A’s Dei’s big win over 4A’s Castle, 77-63. Hiester has has an incredible senior season is one of the reasons, along with teammate Tyler Phelps, that Dei is 11-3 so far. It is also worth noting that 2021 PG Isaiah Swope (Castle) also finished with 32 points and 8 assists last night. Mater Dei’s next game is at Heritage Hills this Friday.
Snider makes huge comeback win versus Churubusco
Snider possibly had one of the biggest comebacks of the season so far. Down 10 with 55 seconds left to go in the contest, Snider kept fighting ended up beating Churubusco 67-66. The winning shot came from 2021 SG Jade Moore who hit a 3 at the buzzer to give the Panthers the win. Fort Wayne Snider moves up to 12-3 on the season. Good, hard-fought for coach Jeremy Rauch and squad.
