Senior Stock Risers
In their senior seasons, which players have made a convincing final push for college offers? Below we list the five highest risers from the senior class.
Ashton Kallstrom – Eau Claire North: With defenses keying in on Dalton Banks Dalton Banks 6'1" | PG Eau Clairie North | 2020 State #305 Nation WI , Kallstrom stepped to the plate this season. He’s North’s primary offensive weapon, and has helped Banks fuel North’s 9-2 start.
In addition to his new role, his statistical improvements from last year to this year merit a spot on this list. He only averaged 9.9 points per game last season, which is less than half of the 21.4 points per game he’s averaging this season. He’s made massive strides this season and deserves recognition because of it.
Adam Diedrich – Hilbert: Diedrich is emerging as one of division five’s top scorers, averaging 29.8 points per game. The college baseball commit is no stranger to bloated scoring numbers, as he finished last season scoring 17 points a game. But, the increase is obvious, and it carries with it additional attention.
Moreover, Diedrich is maintaining the winning culture after turnover from last year, another reason he deserves a spot on this list.
Gabe Krueger Gabe Krueger 6'6" | PF Wausau East | 2020 State WI – Wausau East: Similar to Diedrich, Krueger is posting gaudy numbers in a lower division. He’s averaging 30.7 points per game along with 10.7 rebounds.
Although the 6’6” senior scores mostly in the paint, he’s truly a versatile scorer. He can dribble coast to coast, put the ball behind his back and use his size to have his way in almost any situation.
Dayne Armwald Dayne Armwald 6'3" | SG Madison West | 2020 State WI – Madison West: Prior to the season, I predicted that Armwald would have a big year. Certainly, he’s done that so far.
As a lesser power in the Big Eight conference, Madison West has held their own thus far, and Armwald’s 23.3 points per game is a key reason for that. He’s been elite through their past four games, too, averaging 27.5 points a game and breaking the 30-point threshold twice.
Aiden Flynn Aiden Flynn 6'5" | PF Marquette | 2020 State WI – Marquette University: Flynn’s improvements are more about his skillset than anything, The forward has displayed grace and versatility at the forward position, slashing through the paint and dominating the game in different facets.
This season, he’s made it clear that he’s a college-level talent. Now, it’s just a question of what division he falls into.
