A 6’4 guard, Krogmeier is a strong 3-point shooter who can put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. He was averaging 18 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game through the early stages of the season helping Newton open the season 4-5.
“Our team has been doing great things,” Krogmeier said. “Yes we don’t have the best record but we do a lot of good things.
“My biggest challenge this year is playing without putting my head down. I need to keep playing hard and not get into my own head.”
Krogmeier spent the offseason running with the Kansas Bluejays and says the experience helped his game grow as he prepared for his senior season.
He says his brother and coach have had the biggest influence on his basketball career to date.
“I would definitely say my brother or my coach has been the biggest influencers because they push me to my max,” Krogmeier said. “They don’t let me take plays off or anything. Very thankful for both of them.”
A fan of New Orleans’ point guard Lonzo Ball, Krogmeier says he appreciates the way he runs a team.
“I enjoy watching Ball because of his court vision and I am trying to get some vision on the court instead of being a score only type of player,” Krogmeier said.
