Breakdown: The group of small forwards has maybe the most upside of the position still on the table. There are a number of really undervalued targets that could still be had at this point. Only 6 players are off the board at this point so that leaves 39 still on the board.
Starting at the top, Qualen Pettus is a guy that has the upside of a true DI player but has yet to really tap into that with any consistency. Wouldn’t be shocked by the chance at a post-grad stint as he could bounce up quickly and draw the eye in a year or two of some high level schools. Jacob Johnson is another that is a little befuddling. He has some things that will make him cheap for some non-DI programs and honestly believe if he was in the northern part of the state, in the heart of all of those NAIA programs, he’d have more than just a handful of offers.
What we are seeing to this point are that of some few stock risers like a Dillon Duff or Kole Hornbuckle that are getting some local schools involved. But, we are also looking at plenty of versatility. Now, the wing spot is normally the most versatile but in regards to scoring the ball, there are a few with guys like Nick Schiavello, Noah Hedrick, and Jerrian Owsley. They have really stepped up their games and shown the ability to score the ball in numerous ways this year.
