Prep Hoops Kansas released its most recently updated 2020 class rankings this week and the updated list features several players who have been mainstays in the rankings, as well as several players who have moved up the list.
Here Prep Hoops takes a look at several forwards who have raised their profile and moved into the Prep Hoops rankings for the first time.
45 Blake Farmer, 6’7, F, 2020, Perry-Lecompton
A nice big man who has a well-rounded game and brings a lot of hustle to the floor. Farmer has great size at 6’7 and strong shoulders and good hands. He’s an old-school player who can play well when opposing teams are looking to space out the floor. He can defend some on the perimeter and is great at boxing out and blocking shots. He’s a scorer and rebounder who looks to shoot high percentage shots.
46 Jon Boyer, 6’7, F, 2020, Olathe South
Boyer is another strong forward who has great height and good length. He looks to block shots and makes great decisions when he’s in the zone and looking to make plays across the floor. Boyer is a good rebounder and can score near the basket and makes plays on both ends during transition moments.
47 Blessing Ekeshill, 6’8, F, Trinity
Ekeshill has great size and overall length and has a nice feel around the basket. He makes good plays off the ball and can make plays with the ball in his hands around the rim. He looks to block shots and rebound and is strong and aggressive.
58 Brandon Gray, 6’8, F, 2020, Valley Center
A forward who has elite height and good length. He runs hard and looks to contribute on both sides of the ball.Gray has an old school post game who looks to score in the paint, block shots and get second-chance opportunities inside. A strong target at the low post.
67 Tanner Halling, 6’7, PF, 2020, St. John
A player to keep your eyes on this season, Halling has elite height at 6’7 and has the potential to make plays on both sides of the ball. He’s going to get a lot of opportunities and has the tools to make something happen.
