They make promises to themselves – anywhere from losing weight to taking trips. My resolution will be to see these prospects play in 2020.
Shamar Howard (2020, 6’0″, PG, East Lansing)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #46
Howard doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves. He’s a top notch ball handler and an excellent scoring point guard. Howard has explosive athleticism.
JT Morgan (2020, 6’6″, F, UD Jesuit)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #21
I’ve always been a huge fan of his game. Morgan is strong and versatile, bringing a lot to the table for his team. Even with loaded UD Jesuit rosters, he’s always made his mark.
Basheer Jihad (2021, 6’5″, SG, North Farmington)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #23
Jihad has always been loaded with potential. It seems like this season, he’s putting it all together, and I want to be there to see it. Jihad is a smooth athlete that can score in a variety of ways.
Damon Terrell (2021, 6’5″, PF, Communication Arts & Media)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #50
Terrell is a special athlete. He’s a playmaker above the rim and a solid rebounder. Terrell is a rim protector that continuously alters shots.
JaVaughn Hannah (2022, 6’4″, SG, Mt. Clemens)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #3
Everyone knows that Hannah is good, but sometimes I don’t think enough people focus on how good. He’s easily a top 100 prospect in the country in the class of 2022. Hannah should have his choice of power 5 schools.
Orlando Lovejoy (2022, PG, Summit Academy)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #16
Yea, we missed it with the number 16 ranking. This kid is special. He’s so explosive offensively. There may not be anyone that can guard Lovejoy’s first step. Quite simply, he’s a constant threat to score.
Malik Olafioye (2023, SG, Ecorse)
This young man is making waves Downriver. He’s got a mature build and an even more mature game. Olafioye has grown man moves to the bucket.
RJ Taylor (2023, PG, Grand Blanc)
Taylor is a special point guard prospect. He runs the offense like a seasoned veteran. Taylor is so smart and efficient, especially for a freshman.
