Kobe Bufkin, Grand Rapids Christian, 2021
Kobe put up 27 points in Christian’s 71-45 win over Reeths Puffer on Friday night at the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Classic. His efforts have led the Eagles to a 5-0 start to the season.
Devon Boyd, Grand Rapids Catholic Central, 2020
Devon led the Cougars with 29 points in Friday night’s 84-52 win over Northview in the Aquinas Legends Invitational. Catholic Central will now face East Grand Rapids in the Legends Invitational Championship tonight at 7:30.
Trinidad Chambliss, Forest Hills Northern, 2021
Trinidad led the Huskies with 25 points during Friday night’s 68-53 win over Coldwater in the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament Blue Division semifinal. The Huskies overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to advance to Monday Night’s championship against Hudsonville.
Ethan Erickson, Forest Hills Northern, 2021
Ethan joined his junior counterpart with 24 points to help the Huskies outlast Coldwater. After starting the game down 18-6, a 24-3 third quarter fueled Forest Hills Northern’s comeback win on Friday night.
Carson Gulker, Zeeland West, 2021
Carson led the Dux in scoring against Covenant Christian, putting up 23 points in a narrow 67-62 loss to the Chargers on Thursday night at the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament. Zeeland West will play Wayland Union in the Gold Division consolation game tonight at 7 pm.
Zach Gritters, Covenant Christian, 2022
Gritters had an efficient night, shooting 7-10 from the field, scoring 22 points in Covenant Christians win over Zeeland West. Gritters will now go up against the young Godwin Heights backcourt tonight for the Gold Division Crown at the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament.
Jack Joldersma, Hudsonville, 2020
Jack led Hudsonville with 20 points in Friday night’s 76-40 win over Kenowa Hills in a Blue Division semifinal at the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament. Hudsonville will put its undefeated record on the line Monday night against Forest Hills Northern.
Jakhary Towns, Godwin Heights, 2023
The freshman sensation tallied 24 points on 8-16 shooting (5-13 from 3), leading Godwin Heights to comeback win over Wayland Union. Godwin Heights will play Covenant Christian in the Cornerstone University Holiday Tournament Gold Division Championship tonight at 8:30.
Jarvis Walker, Muskegon, 2020
Jarvis led Muskegon with 19 points in a hard-fought 52-50 win over East Kenwtood Friday night in the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Classic. His two free throws with two seconds left in the game sealed the win for the Big Reds.
