Evansville Reitz defeats Evansville Mater Dei
Mater Dei has been on a rampage as of late winning five straight and that was stopped tonight by Reitz who defeated them 79-73. In this game there were four players that scored in the twenties. For Mater Dei, Jackson Hiester was the leading scorer on both sides with 29 as his teammate Tyler Phelps had 24. On the winning side, top 2021 prospect Khristian Lander dropped 26 points while his teammate Owen Dease added 25 points to the day. This was a battle between two great squads and it delivered. Evansville Reitz will travel to Southport tomorrow for the Forum Tip-Off Classic to take on Carmel.
Carmel beats Noblesville in Double OT
What a night it was in Carmel. For those who were able to make it to the game, they witnessed a great game that saw Carmel beating Noblesville in double overtime tonight. This was a back and forth battle that saw the reigning 4A State Champs barley surviving. Noblesville’s Alex Hunt (15 points) played a really good game even though he was foul trouble most of the night and would eventually foul out. Carmel escaped a big game against a good squad and now will go onto to face Evansville Reitz tomorrow night.
LaVille’s Bobby Good shows out tonight
LaVille was able to beat a Winamac team that has been struggling so far this season 49-37 earlier. However, that was not the story of tonight. The highlight of that game this evening was LaVille’s Bobby Good provided a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Good is a really solid prospect that has some good strength to his game and can score just like he did tonight. LaVille’s next contest will be at Pioneer next Friday and Winamac will look to get their first win at Culver on Tuesday.
