Since we previously broke down the best available Seniors in Louisville, this article will focus on the best available Seniors in regions 5, 8 and 11. Here’s a look at the top Seniors in Central Ky.
Alex Matthews Alex Matthews 6'5" | PF John Hardin | 2020 State KY , John Hardin – Matthews is off to one of the best starts in the state as he’s averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds for an undefeated team. He’s claimed offers from multiple D1 and NAIA schools previously. It will be interesting to see where he signs in the spring.
Ray Surratt, Lafayette – One of the best big men in the state, Surratt is very skilled with a high IQ and good feel for the game. Ray is averaging 23 points and 8 rebounds per game for the Generals while shooting 66% from the field. He would be a really good D2 player.
Terrin Hamilton Terrin Hamilton 6'6" | SF Scott County | 2020 State KY , Scott County – After spending two years as a role player, Hamilton is breaking out in his final year. Averaging 23 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Cardinals, Hamilton has the size and versatility at 6’6 that coaches covet.
Amari Taylor Amari Taylor 6'2" | PG Tates Creek | 2020 State KY , Tates Creek – The first true guard on this list, Amari is a versatile scorer who can play either guard spot. He’s not a true point but he’s also not a pure shooting guard. Taylor has good size and has worked hard in the weight room to bulk up.
Trevon Harris Trevon Harris 6'3" | SG John Hardin | 2020 State KY , John Hardin – Averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 68% from the field, Harris is having a monster start to the year. Trevon is a Swiss army knife who does a little bit of everything. He had an offer from Cincinnati Christian before they announced their closing. Some NAIA school would do well to add Trevon.
Joe Meador Joe Meador 6'10" | PF Franklin County | 2020 State KY , Franklin County – At 6’9 and extremely bouncy, Meador is a popular prospect with many schools these days. Shooting in the mid 30s from three is another reason coaches have found their way to Franklin County. NAIA IU-East has offered and several other schools are circling.
Malachi Corley Malachi Corley 6'0" | PG Campbellsville | 2020 State KY , Campbellsville – Malachi is going to play football at the next level but he does have a basketball offer from Campbellsville and is averaging 22 points and 7 rebounds through 3 games this season.
Preston Murrell Preston Murrell 6'8" | C John Hardin | 2020 State KY , John Hardin – Standing 6’9 and getting better all the time, Murrell is a high upside recruit who should continue developing into a solid college player at the NAIA/D3 level.
Jamison Epps Jamison Epps 6'5" | PF Marion County | 2020 State KY , Marion County – Epps is off to a big start to his Senior year, averaging 21 points and 16 rebounds through 4 games. He’s also shooting 55% from the field as Marion is off to a 3-1 start.
Seth Johnson, South Oldham – The Dragons are a top team in the 8th and the leadership and scoring of Johnson is a big reason why. Seth is leading the team in both scoring and rebounding at 19 points and 9 rebounds per game.
Warner Bryan Warner Bryan 6'8" | C Larue County | 2020 State KY , LaRue County – After being injured for most of the last two seasons, Bryan is healthy and averaging 23 points and 12 rebounds per game. He’s 6’8, long and athletic and coaches are sure to be impressed by his size and leaping ability.
Kybrin Smith, Taylor County – Having a huge start to his season, Smith is averaging nearly 24 points per game to go with nearly 11 rebounds. The lefty is long and skilled and could be the type of player who goes to Junior College then emerges as a D1 player in 2 years.
JaRel Montgomery JaRel Montgomery 5'11" | PG Bardstown | 2020 State KY , Bardstown – A two sport star, Montgomery leads the Tigers in scoring and has them off to a 4-2 start. Shooting 50% from the field and 32% from the three point line, JaRel excels in a system with a lot of pace and is capable of playing on or off the ball.
