It was a Prep School tourney only with 25 different teams from players around the country and globally.
It was a 3-day event with many high level games.
Here were some more of the seniors that stood out:
Emad Elniel SF 6’5 PHH Prep
-A long and talented wing who can score it from inside and out. His 3pt stroke was working this weekend and he was very active on the glass. He got out on the break well and played above the rim. He plays the passing lanes smartly using his athletic gifts and he is improving quickly since the end of the HS season. Elniel signed with Dixie State.
Amar Brown C 6’7 Veritas Prep
-Face-up 5-man who is very skilled. He has nice hook shot with his left or right hand. He has long arms plus huge hands to rebound the ball. He can hit the 3pt shot and from mid-range. He is best defending inside and is a good passer.
Connor Murphy SG 6’5 Golden State Prep Black
-Bigger guard who can shoot it with range. He was a little inconsistent this weekend but has a nice spin on the ball. He fights hard on defense and competes. Uses size for rebounds/boxing out. He was at Findlay Prep last year and is prepping for this season.
Brandon Scott SG 6’4 TMG Prep Black
-Downhill horse loves getting in the paint. He bounces off defenders and scores it easily through contact. Good athlete and super strong with good length. He can make strides moving forward with his deep shooting.
Julio Rodriguez PG 5’9 Veritas Prep
-A thick and tough smaller scoring guard who can shoot it. He was one of the more consistent pure shooters of the weekend. He gets high elevation and loves the mid-range jumper. He is a dog on the ball defensively.
Freddy Johnson PG 5’8 Bella Vista Prep
-He is a diminutive scoring PG who can be a walking bucket. He has great speed and a nice jumper from deep. He can pull-up off the dribble and is very slippery. Once he gets into the lane he takes contact well despite his size.
Brandon Williams SF 6’3 RON Institute
-Big time athlete can fly in the open court. He is a good passer and plays above the rim. He has a nice pull-up from mid-range and attacks the basket well. Plays the passing lanes well and is active in space. Capable 3pt shooter but most comfortable from mid.
